"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord." 1 Peter 4:10-11 .

This week, I discuss the calling of ministry work. We have all been gifted with various charisms to love and serve the church. But in our obedience to the Holy Spirit, we must remember that he will never call us to serve at the cost of loving our first ministry, that which is loving the people in our homes.

"My little children let us not love in word, neither in tongue, but in deed and in truth." 1 John 3:18

In this episode, we are continuing our Points of Connection series. Connecting with our children is one of the greatest desires of every momma. So, I wanted to explore the areas of everyday life that offer opportunities to pour into our children's hearts.

This week I am joined by counselor, scientist, teacher, mother, and author, Dr. Deborah MacNamara. We discuss her latest book, "Nourished: Connection, Food, and Caring for our children (and everyone else we love)," and explore the truth that nourishing our children goes far beyond what is put on their plate. Instead, togetherness is how we best satiate the hunger of our children.

This week I kick off a series I've been dying to create for you! Connecting with our children is one of the greatest desires of every momma. So I wanted to explore the areas of everyday life that are opportunities to pour into the hearts of our children.

I am joined by my dear friend, author, speaker, and podcaster Bonnie Landry to discuss how education can draw the hearts of mothers and children together. Whether you homeschool, public school, or private school, spending time learning together with our children creates the opportunity for a magnificent point of deep connection.

    Jan 21 2025

Want to connect? Send me a quick message here!

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.” Hebrews 12:1.

This week, I am joined by three of my dearest friends, Angela Hoyer, Mackenzie Watkins, and Bridget O'Boyle, to discuss being one another's Cloud of Witnesses. St. Paul talks about how the saints surround us with encouragement, cheering us on towards heaven. Perhaps we, sisters in Christ and saints in the making, are called to cheer each other on and persevere in the Christian life.

  • 201. Why do we educate?
    Jan 14 2025

Want to connect? Send me a quick message here!

“Train up a child in the way they should go and when he is old he will not depart from it.” -Proverbs 22:6.

Have you ever stopped, paused, and considered the question—Why are we educating them? Of course, we want to equip them with the skills and knowledge to be mature and wise adults. Sure, we desire to help launch them into a career that will bless their future selves. But is this our end goal, my friends? No!

Pope Piux XI reminds us that we are doing much more than simply training their minds; instead, we are shepherding them into becoming the saints they were called to be. "Education consists essentially in preparing man for what he must BE and for what he must do here below in order to attain the sublime end for which he was created."
