The ceasefire/hostage release deal between Israel and Hamas is having the remarkable and celebrated results in securing the release of many Israeli hostages. The first phase of this deal calls for Hamas to release 33 hostages in captivity for nearly 500 days, and for Israel to release nearly 2000 Palestinian Arab terrorists, some serving multiple life sentences for killing dozens of people. Many of the terrorists are not just bad guys, but masterminds of massive terrorist attacks. What is Israel thinking? How can Israel guarantee the safety of its citizens with these terrorists back out on the street? How is the release of these terrorists impacting the families of the victims? As jaws are still being picked up from the floor, pundits are commenting, and world leaders are chastising the nature and comments that came out of this week’s Trump-Netanyahu meeting and public comments.
