I'm sharing a little more on the unfiltered side of widowhood.

The raw and unpolished reality of widowhood is not only messy, it's a constant roller coaster. My faith in Jesus is definitely my anchor amidst the chaos of grief and the unexpected moments that leave me confused, sad, sometimes laughing... But many times on the verge of tears.

Sharing this is not easy for me and something I feel God wants me to do...Even though I don't want to do any of it. However, there is beauty in finding God in the messy middle—when life feels shattered but HIS hope still shines. Scripture has lifted my eyes and chin over and over again. God has never allowed for things to not be funny, even in the oddest of times. I has been my surprising companion in the journey of loss, for sure.

Hey Friends... It's been a minute - I'm back to check in and see how things have been.

God is always good, but we each have come a long way since Lee passes in 2019. So many things we did do, we do no more. And now that other things have HAD to come about... We are moving in a slightly different direction. Yet, somehow the main thing will always be the "Main Thing".

The H.I.S. Community is just starting and while I know we have a few kinks to work out I do know what this group can offer you:

My heart is to create a safe place where we can do life together, share God's word, pray for one another, and hopefully have a little bit of fun.

This group will have a monthly fee of $9.97 for a few reasons. I will have to pay for help for some of the things that we are going to do, but also we find value and things we pay for however, portion of every month will go in an account to give to an organization or family we as a community find important at Christmas time each year. (We do this year with The Bible Babes, and I cannot tell you what a joy and blessing it has been.)

Do you want a potential way to calm your heart in mind maybe before you go into prayer? Or into your Bible study? Or even just when you need a way to be able to regulate some of the thoughts and anxiety that happened to many of us. I've got an idea… And I want to walk you through it in this episode.

I got this method from the head pastor of Life.Church, Craig Groeschel. He talked about the fact that his brain, many of the times, is all over the place and he's got so many things in his mind that he wants to do: people he wants to pray, sermon ideas, etc. He began doing the method I talk about in an effort to calm himself before he went into prayer and things of that nature.

If you're needing a church home or you're maybe wanting to start going back to church or for the first time, we currently go to this church. It is simply a Bible based church with amazing music and anyone is invited. It's a very "come as you are" type of church. It has been a wonderful place for us. I got back into church after Lee passed away and so many of his friends and his friends families which makes the experience all that much better.
