  • North Manchester Artist/owner of Annie’s Tearoom/All-Round Good Guy: Louis Beckett is a beacon of light and giving in the community across North Manchester known to anyone creative that has ever dipped their toes into the Urban Chaos that is North Manchester. However, behind this public façade of community hero lies a crimson red satanic-like rage that is unleashed on anyone who dares to demand a cup of tea or biscuit whilst he is in the middle of gathering his carefully prepared thoughts on art and existence…Well, not really that extreme…but he loves a good old rant… So, with that in mind, I thought it’d be a good idea to start a semi-regular podcast in which the lovable persona of the main man himself is given the space to express his feelings on some of the weird happenings in the World.... With guests to accompany regular panellists and captains Paddy (ME!) and Ange - the two teams battle it out head-to-head finding 3 stories each (one-by-one) to put to Lou for discussion, where each team gains a point for the story from each round that either Lou says he loves the most, hates the most and then a wild card round with a story brought in by that week’s guests. (NO POLITICS THOUGH!) Winner is the best of the 3. Casual chat opens the show and introduces the World to the eccentric/colourful/sometimes-actually-insightful personalities of the panellists, guests and Louis himself before the competition gets serious with nothing to play for except the respect and deep love of Big Bad Beckett himself. A separate leaderboard is kept from each episode in which Lou’s blood pressure is checked at the beginning and end of the episode – with a note being made of the difference. The winner of each series is the group from the episode that manages to lower his blood pressure the most by it’s end and a prize will be awarded for their incredible voluntary contribution to the country’s struggling level of healthcare.
