    After an eventful weekend, the guys are back for E242 of the GSP. Phil brings on good friend and the man of the Chronicles George Howson on to guest host for Josh as he's on vacation. Phil and George discuss Joey Logano getting a massive upset over Chris Bell, Kyle Larson and others to win at Las Vegas. They cover the race, key players and points heading to Homestead. On the XFinity side, AJ Allmendinger held Ryan Seig off to win his first race of 2024 plus advance to Phoenix. Discussion of the race and other major news, including Dale, Jr. coming back with a Bud washer car in late models.

    Charl Eclair had a strong weekend at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, which culminated in a strong victory on Sunday. Leclerc led a Ferrari 1-2 finish while Fish Lips rounded out the podium and gained points on Lando Norris after a typical FL maneuver at Turn 1, lap 1. Phil and George cover all the stories as the teams head to Mexico for the second of three consecutive races.

    Phil covers San Francisco getting worked by Kermit the Frog again, while Josh's Jaguars are teetering on the brink, even with a win over the Patriots. The fantasy teams are doing better though for each of them. The GSP Roundup covers MotoGP, WSBK, WRC and Supercars before the crew previewed and made picks for the Grand Prix of Mexico for Formula 1 and the NASCAR Triple header at Homestead.

    Episode 241 of the Grip Strip Podcast is all about the NASCAR Cup and XFinity races at the Charlotte Roval. Yung Money took control in the second half, snagging his sixth win of 2024 and his second straight elimination race. Tyler Reddick kicked things off strong by winning Stage 1 but faced a tough challenge in the final stretch to move on. Unfortunately, he collided with Dennis while MJ was watching from the pits. In a surprising twist, Alex Bowman got disqualified after losing ballast when he hit a turtle curb.

    The episode dives into other major storylines, like Sam Mayer's victory in the elimination race that secured his spot in the Round of 8, while Parker Kligerman faced some bad luck with NASCAR. Creed and Herbst were also eliminated from the playoffs, along with Kligerman and polesitter SVG. As the points head to Vegas, the podcast also touches on NFL Week Six, GSP updates, and motorsport events from MotoGP to WRC.   • Grip Strip Podcast Episode 240 - Sticky Henhouse

    NASCAR Tripleheader at Talladega Richard had an impressive victory in the Cup race, especially after a dramatic 28-car incident with just four laps to go that affected many top contenders, including Gumby Cindric. We saw a lot of excitement around the DVP policy, along with some challenges in the pack and fuel mileage racing in a tight four-wide situation for a couple of hours. As we look ahead to the Roval Cutoff, the points situation is definitely heating up. Sammy Smith pulled off an amazing from-last-to-first performance with a timely win in Xfinity! Unfortunately, Sam Mayer faced some difficulties and was disqualified, while Allgaier is still working through his issues. The points are really important as we approach the Roval. In a heartfelt moment for Oldsmobile, Grant Enfinger secured their first win in Trucks and their first win in NASCAR since 1992! It’s great to see most of the playoff drivers, except Nick Sanchez, making their way into the Top 14. The points race is getting exciting as we head to Homestead. IndyCar News Michael Andretti has shared a thoughtful letter with fans as he transitions from his role as CEO of his team to Towriss. Exciting news: the series plans to race in Arlington, TX, in 2026, around the iconic Cowgirls stadium and the Globe Life Field for the Rangers! NFL Week Five is upon us, both in real life and fantasy, and we can't wait to recap our first matchup in the FallBrawl! GSP Roundup MotoGP has wrapped up its event in Japan, while NHRA had an exciting race in Dallas. Supercars are gearing up for the Bathurst 1000, and there’s a new format coming for 2025 that fans will love! IMSA’s Petit Le Mans is right around the corner, along with updates on teams and cars for 2025.
