    DEVOTION
    Based on Mark 14
    Jesus spoke these words to His disciples in the Garden of Gethsemane, urging them to stay spiritually vigilant. He knew that human weakness makes us vulnerable to temptation, even when our hearts desire to do what is right. Without prayer and spiritual alertness, we risk falling into sin and drifting from God’s will.

    The struggle between spirit and flesh is real, but God provides strength through prayer. When we seek Him, He empowers us to resist temptation and remain steadfast in faith. Prayer isn’t just a habit—it’s our defense against weakness.

    Take a moment tonight to examine your spiritual vigilance. Breathe out distractions, and breathe in God’s strength. Ask Him to help you remain watchful and prayerful, relying on His power rather than your own.
    A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
    ADORATION: Praise God for His guidance and protection. Worship Him as the One who strengthens you against temptation and leads you in righteousness.

    CONFESSION: Reflect on times when you’ve given in to temptation due to spiritual neglect. Confess any struggles with weakness, asking God for a renewed heart and discipline in prayer.

    THANKSGIVING: Thank God for His mercy and grace, which restore you even when you fall. Express gratitude for the power of prayer and His willingness to strengthen you in times of need.

    SUPPLICATION: Father, help me to remain spiritually alert. Teach me to watch and pray, trusting in Your strength instead of my own. Strengthen my spirit to overcome temptation and keep my heart focused on You. Let my life reflect a dependence on Your power and not the weakness of my flesh.

    Dear Lord, Sometimes, I feel like I am being pulled in two different directions. My spirit longs to obey You, but my flesh pulls me toward sin. I know prayer is the weapon against temptation, and intimacy with You is how I find restoration. So I pray now and always that You pull me away from sin and toward You! Keep me far from wickedness, Lord, and save me from myself. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏🏾
