Trans stories are important but …

Li does a great job hosting this conversation. Unfortunately it is my least favorite so far in the series. The story was less about Camille or Chris, the two trans guests, which makes sense from the title. But Dottie makes repeated cringy comments about her ex in front of her kid (her hat Li helps reframe) and seems to push her issues and perspective onto her kid in a way that made me feel anxiety and pressure when listening - I can’t imagine how that feels for a kid. And the convo just centered so much on Dottie’s feelings and experience and desires, sometimes over those of her kid, and in a cringeworthy manner.
