Dancing Across The Invisible Line - Trailer

  • Summary

  • Welcome to the Invisible Line, a podcast by Radhika, Chandra & Anke where we collect stories of women who have experience with ISKCON and its offshoots. Cult podcasts are quite popular, but none currently exist about ISKCON or the Hare Krishnas. ISKCON has grown so large that it's on the brink of evolving into a religion. It operates state schools in the UK, partakes in mining, oil, and gas sectors, and engages in academia and politics in India and other parts of the world. There is a resurgent academic interest in interpreting the contentious quotes in which the founder of ISKCON discusses women, specifically violence against women, appearing to condone it. The aim of this podcast is to add the perspectives of women who have experienced life in ISKCON across various locations and time periods to the conversation.
