Dahlia Lithwick

Dahlia Lithwick is an award-winning journalist and author, and Senior Editor at Slate, having written their Supreme Court Dispatches and Jurisprudence columns since 1999. Lithwick also hosts Amicus, Slate’s award-winning biweekly podcast about the law and the Supreme Court. Lithwick earned her BA in English at Yale University and her JD degree at Stanford University, and has held visiting faculty positions at numerous Universities. Lithwick’s recent book, Lady Justice: Women, the Law and the Battle to Save America–with its powerful commentary on the political ramifications of Trump’s presidency and its spotlighting of the women lawyers doing the work since his inauguration–became an instant New York Times Bestseller.

Imara Jones

Imara, whose work has won Emmy and Peabody Awards, is the creator of TransLash Media, a cross-platform, non-profit journalism and narrative organization, which produces content to shift the current culture of hostility towards transgender people in the US. She was named by Time Magazine as one of the 100 Most Influential People on the planet in 2023. As part of her work at TransLash, Imara hosts the TransLash Podcast with Imara Jones, which received the 2023 Outstanding Podcast Award from GLAAD ; as well as the investigative, limited series, The Anti-Trans Hate Machine: A Plot Against Equality which received the Excellence in Podcasting Award from the National LGBTQ+ Journalists Association. Imara is also the first trans person to ever receive an award from the National Black Journalists Association, having garnered the Journalist of Distinction Award in 2022. Also in 2022, Politico named her as one of the 40 power players at the intersection of race, politics, and policy in the United States. In 2020 Imara was featured on the cover of Time Magazine as part of its New American Revolution special edition. In 2019 she chaired the first-ever UN High Level Meeting on Gender Diversity with over 600 participants. Imara is a 2021 Nathan Cummings Foundation Fellow and a 2019 Soros Equality Fellow. She serves on the New York City Commission on Gender Equity. She also serves as Chair of the Board for the Transgender Law Center, the nation’s largest transgender non-profit organization, and as Co-Chair of the New Pride Agenda.

Rep. Mikie Sherrill

Naval Academy graduate, Navy helicopter pilot, former federal prosecutor, and a wife and a mother of four–Mikie Sherrill proudly serves New Jersey’s 11th Congressional District and is running for re-election to lower the cost of living for New Jersey families, protect our national security, honor and defend our military veterans and families, and promote the kind of national unity that makes our country and communities strong.

Mikie serves on the Armed Services Committee, where she has worked to ensure Picatinny Arsenal has the resources necessary to continue its cutting-edge research and innovation that keeps our service members safe. She also serves on the newly formed House Select Committee on Strategic Competition between the U.S. and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). On this committee, she is working to address the economic and national security threats posed by the CCP on American businesses and our supply chain while also holding them accountable for breaches of international trade agreements and human rights abuses.
