• BRIDE IN WEDDING DRESS MOWED DOWN DEAD: DRUNK DRIVER SNIVELS “GUILTY” IN COURT
    Dec 17 2024

Samantha Miller and her fiancé Aric Hutchinson spend the night celebrating their wedding. When the newlyweds leave the reception, the golf cart in which they are riding, is plowed over by a speeding car. Police say Jamie Komoroski is driving 65 mph in a 25 mph zone. Bride Samantha Miller is killed.

Jamie Lee Komoroski told officers on the scene that she was headed home when something hit her. The problem with that is her home was in the opposite direction. Komoroski admitted to police that she had been drinking that night, but refused to take a breathalyzer test.

Komoroski, 25, is charged with three counts of DUI with great bodily injury or death and reckless homicide. Now, just as Judge Deadra Jefferson is getting ready to begin jury selection for the trial, Jamie Lee Komoroski asks to change her plea from not guilty to guilty. Komoroski did not negotiate a plea deal, meaning the judge does not have to show her leniency for sparing Miller's family a trial.

Judge Deadre Jefferson sentences Komoroski to 25 years for reckless homicide; 15 years for the two counts of DUI involving great bodily injury and 10 years for the felony DUI charge. The sentences are concurrent, meaning Komoroski will spend 25 years in prison. Komoroski is now asking that her sentence be lowered.

  • MISSING TEXAS MOM SUZANNE SIMPSON’S DNA ‘FOUND ON HUBBY’S SAW’
    Dec 16 2024

The arrest affidavit for Brad Simpson, accused of murdering his wife, provides a detailed timeline of his activities the day before he reported her missing. The husband and father spent the day running suspicious errands, some of them in front of his 5-year-old daughter.

The day after neighbors overheard the Simpsons fighting, Brad Simpson’s truck filled and emptied as he drove around San Antonio. First, Simpson placed his phone in “lockdown mode,” preventing location tracking. Forced to rely on surveillance footage, police spotted Simpson’s truck at a grocery store at 12:33 a.m.

The truck bed was empty except for an ice chest. The next morning, when Simpson took his daughter to school, two full white trash bags had been added to the bed. Later, when Simpson was seen at a Boerne Whataburger drive-thru more than an hour later, police observed a heavy-duty trash can and a firewood rack weighing down an object covered by a blue tarp.

Law enforcement uncovered damning evidence that led a grand jury to indict Simpson not only for tampering with evidence but also for murder. Lab testing revealed Suzanne Simpson’s DNA on a reciprocating saw from Simpson’s toolbox.

In his first court appearance, Brad Simpson wore red prisoner attire with his hands cuffed in front of him. He swayed back and forth in his swivel chair, speaking only to confirm his identity and converse with his attorney.

Although the hearing was brief, Simpson was observed with what has been described as a sly grin.

  • BLOODY AMBUSH ON 2 KANSAS MOMS; AUTOPSIES SHOW TORTURE?
    Dec 15 2024

The full autopsy reports on Veronica Butler and Jillian Kelley have now been released. The two reports are similar with the cause of death as multiple sharp force trauma. The report lists a total of 30 wounds, with 9 being stab wounds and 21 being cuts.

Many of Butler's wound were consistent with Butler trying to defend herself.

A police affidavit says Tifany Adams allegedly gave statements indicating she was responsible for the deaths of Veronica Butler and Jillian Kelley.

Investigators now say they believe Butler and Jillian Kelley were lured to the location, arriving around 9:40 a.m. Besides the pools of blood, officers found Butler’s glasses on the ground near a broken hammer. Police say they believe the women were forced into another vehicle.

Much information has been released in the probable cause affidavit, but not the women's cause of death. The bodies were found in a cattle pasture, leased by Tad Bert Cullum, the boyfriend of grandmother Tifany Adams.

The location was narrowed down by cellphone data from three burner phones purchased by Adams. The phones first pinged at the location of Butler's abandoned car, the data then led police to the pasture property. Obvious signs of digging were discovered. A hole had been dug and filled back in. Inside the hole were the bodies of the missing women.

The motive, according to investigators, is custody of Butler’s two children: a custody battle has gone on for more than five years. Father Wrangler Rickman, Tifany Adam’s son, had custody of the children, but Rickman was confirmed to be in a rehabilitation facility in Oklahoma City.

Veronica Butler’s custody arrangement allowed her supervised visitation with her children every Saturday. And reportedly, according to Butler’s attorney, she was likely to be granted unsupervised visitation during an upcoming hearing.

The affidavit states that “Adams vehemently opposed this and went to great lengths to plan and purchase items used in Butler and Kelley’s murders,” It continues... “Adams, Cullum, Cole and Cora were willing to kidnap and murder two victims to limit visitation for Butler.”

Court documents allege that Adams and the other suspects tried to killer Butler once before in February. Adams, her boyfriend, and the other couple drove to Butler’s home near Hugoton, Kansas, intending to kill her. A witness told investigators that the planned was to throw an anvil through Butler’s windshield while she was driving. They reasoned that it would look like an accident, but Butler did not leave her home.

As state investigators pulled information from Adams’ phone, it showed web searches for “taser pain level, gun shops, prepaid cellular phones, and how to get someone out of their house." That’s also according to the probable cause documents.

Adams reportedly purchased five stun guns before the women’s disappearances, according to the documents. She bought three prepaid, unregistered burner phones from a Walmart near her. All the prepaid burners stopped transmitting the mornings the women went missing.

After the attack, the bodies were stored in a sealed freezer and buried 4 to 8 feet below the ground.
