• What Hollywood’s Ultimate Villain Can Teach YOU About God | Neal McDonough
    Oct 25 2024

You know him from The Minority Report, Band of Brothers, and more. He’s had more than 60 epic death scenes on-camera. He’s Hollywood’s ultimate villain. Ladies and gentlemen, Neal McDonough!

Neal had it all. He was a rising Hollywood star, getting huge roles, working with the biggest names in the industry. Then, he was blacklisted for one thing: refusing to do romantic on-camera scenes with women who were not his wife. Neal stuck to his Catholic values and nearly lost his career because of it!

My conversation with Neal is so inspiring. We talk about his career, how he nearly lost everything after taking a stand, his struggles with addiction during that dark time, and how he came back, better than ever, to have an extensive and AMAZING career, using his talents to glorify God.

Neal knows that faith and staying true to God is a transformative thing. He has seen it first-hand in his own life! May his example inspire us to follow God as intensely in our own lives. If there’s someone you know who is going through a dark time or having a tough job situation, this is a perfect episode to share with them to give them hope! And as always, don’t forget to like, share, and subscribe to our YouTube channel so that you never miss an episode of the Chris Stefanick Show!

  • Maximizing Your Potential at Every Stage of Life | Arthur Brooks
    Oct 18 2024

SPECIAL THANKS TO CORPORATE TRAVEL, PRODUCERS OF THE GOOD NEWS CONFERENCE for making this interview possible. To learn more visit www.GoodNewsConference.com.

If your world was ROCKED by Part One of my interview with the legendary Arthur Brooks, get ready for Part Two!

We dive into the book Arthur wrote during COVID, Strength to Strength. In it, he talks about the second half of life—the part where we move from being the “doers” to being the “teachers.” For so many of us, this elicits fear, anxiety, and the sudden urge to buy a sports car, but it doesn’t have to! While our decline (physical and cognitive) IS inevitable, the way we handle it and use this stage of our lives to glorify God is totally up to us.

We talk about fluid intelligence (the first half) vs. crystallized intelligence (the second half), why being a grandparent is AWESOME, how we can make the most of the rest of our lives, what Arthur has learned from Buddhist monks, and MORE. This episode is so packed with wisdom, whether you are in this phase of life (like me) or not, our conversation is a fantastic way to reframe our views on aging and help you to better love and honor those in your life who are in this phase.

  • “Rebuild My Church:” The Hidden Story of How St. Francis of Assisi Changed the World
    Oct 4 2024

St. Francis of Assisi truly changed the world with his radical poverty, love of God, and JOY. I am SO excited for this episode on one of my favorite saints!

We go through Francis’ life story—his lavishly wealthy upbringing, fighting in the Crusades, and eventually losing interest in worldly desires. He eventually renounced his wealth, his family, and his inheritance, for Francis realized his true inheritance was in Heaven.

St. Francis never intended to start a movement with his devotion to radical poverty, but people began to follow him in droves, giving away their possessions and serving the poor. That spirit of Francisican love and intense JOY is alive and well today, nearly 800 years after his death.

I share more about how one of the most pivotal moments of St. Francis’ life inspired a Mumford and Sons song (true story!), how our desire for control is precisely what is making us unhappy, and we close with what I think is one of the most beautiful prayers ever written, St. Francis’ Canticle of the Sun.

Whether he’s one of your favorite saints like me, or you only know him as “that hippie saint,” there is SO much to learn about St. Francis of Assisi in this episode. Let’s dive in!........

  • Hollywood, Jung, and Healing: Tim Moriarty's Radical Return to the Church
    Sep 20 2024

Guys, I am so excited to share my conversation with Tim Moriarty with you! Tim is an actor who has been featured in House of Cards, Blue Bloods, and more. He was raised Catholic, studying under Peter Kreeft at Boston College, and even entered seminary! He eventually left the seminary and subsequently went through an intense time of spiritual dryness.

Tim began studying Carl Jung, which set him on a search for truth. He began working as an actor and found success in Hollywood. Eventually, Tim's search landed him right back where he started—the Catholic Church.

He now makes films that showcase the beauty of Christianity and tell the story of our Faith. Tim’s most recent film, Jesus Thirsts: The Miracle of the Eucharist premiered in theaters this past summer: https://jesusthirstsfilm.com/

We chat about how he worked through his wounds, Jordan Peterson’s connection to Carl Jung, and how tough but rewarding it is when you realize that you’re not in control, but God is. I can’t wait to dive in!

  • Finding Hope and Healing after Suicide | Shelly Linskey
    Sep 13 2024

Content Warning: This episode discusses sensitive topics. Listener discretion is advised.

Guys, this is a tough conversation. But it’s one that needs to be had.

Today, I’m sitting down with Shelly Linksey, a dear friend of mine and the widow of another dear friend of mine, Sean. In 2006, I was working with Sean in diocesan ministry for the Diocese of La Crosse, WI. In May of that year, Sean committed suicide, two weeks before Shelly gave birth to their fourth child.

It is an understatement to say that our tight-knit community was stricken with grief by what happened. September is Suicide Awareness Month, so this is an excellent opportunity to share Shelly and Sean’s story. We talk about Sean’s short but intense mental illness, the day he died, and how Shelly pressed on in the days, weeks, and years afterward. We laugh together, cry together, and talk about things that don’t really get discussed in Catholic circles.

Sean was an amazing husband and father and an incredibly holy man. The impact he made in my life and so many he met is unforgettable. We’re aware that this is a hard topic and we might not have gotten it all “right.” But we didn’t want fear of that to prevent us from the greatest enemy: silence.

If you or a loved one is at risk, talk to a mental health professional, suicide hotline, pastor…just TALK. The Devil uses silence to keep us from God’s healing truth. If you need someone to talk to, dial 988 for the National Suicide Hotline. May God provide hope and healing for whatever you are going through ❤️

  • Life Hacks from a Catholic Monk | Fr. Augustine Wetta
    Sep 6 2024

St. Benedict was the father of…life hacks.

Follow me for a second! His most famous work, The Rule of St. Benedict was filled with rules and processes and, well, life hacks that are STILL used today by monks and religious all over the world, nearly 1500 YEARS after it was written! His intense holiness and excellent rules for life made him the Father of Western Monasticism.

Today, I am thrilled to welcome back Fr. Augustine Wetta, a Benedictine monk, author, teacher, and former surfer and rugby player. Fr. Wetta radiates joy and is sharing with us some “rules for life” that he has found help him live a happier, holier life.

We talk about his struggles with early onset Parkinson’s Disease, his coming to Jesus, the most OUTRAGEOUS ways St. Thérèse of Lisieux has sent him roses, and how to carry on during tough times in your vocation.

I am so grateful for the gift of Fr. Wetta and his immense optimism in all things! This is a great episode to share with someone you care about who needs a boost or a smile this week ☺️

  • Getting to the Root of Harmful Behaviors With a REAL Psychologist | Dr Peter Malinoski
    Aug 23 2024

We spend a good deal of our time setting boundaries and expectations with family and friends who’s behavior or personalities may be harmful in one way or another, but what do you do when the finger is pointing BACK at you?

Yep, we’re going there this week!

Guys, I am so excited to share the final installment of my series of episodes with my friend, Dr. Peter Malinoski. Dr. Malinoski is a clinical psychologist, president and co-founder of Souls and Hearts, and host of the Interior Integration for Catholic Podcast. He has worked with patients in his private practice for more than 20 years.

One of the hardest things to do is admit when you’ve messed up, whether it’s losing your temper on your kids, being unkind to a spouse, or being less-than-proud of an exchange with a friend. In this episode, we discuss how selfish behaviors differ from full-blown personality disorders, what the root feelings are behind our harmful actions, and how Jesus is the healing balm when you hurt or have been hurt.

I’m so excited to dive in with you, and if there is someone you know who would benefit from hearing this message that God loves us INFINITELY (even when we mess up), could you please share this episode with them? ❤️
