  • Sukkot Day 3: Turn, turn, turn, Kanye, and a lulav and etrog
    Oct 18 2024

The symbols of the holiday are always instructive and the reading of the Bible's depressing book Ecclesiastes is a great way to ponder what the Almighty wants us to take away.

  • What I did on my summer vacation
    Aug 19 2024

Every year as school began, it seemed that each of my primary school teachers would have us write a paragraph or an essay about our summer's activities. As August finishes and school in most of the US has reconvened, this seemed a good time to reflect on my adventures the last few months.

Historical markers include astronomy, Bulgaria and Hungary, Warsaw Pact nations squelching an uprising and Charles Darwin's theory of evolution.
