episode 3 reminds us what’s at stake

We often take the constitution for granted, and that’s a problem. The founders recognized how important the document was, and how fragile, too.

I just finished a biography of Alexander Hamilton. He observed, “So long as we are a young and virtuous people, this instrument will bind us together in mutual interests, mutual welfare, and mutual happiness. But when we become old and corrupt, it will bind us no longer.”

I appreciate schools like this that prioritizes values and the founding of America. We must not get old and corrupt!
