In Genesis 3 (the Fall of Man), the Bible describes the Garden of Eden with two trees at its center: the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Adam and Eve were instructed by God to eat freely of the tree of life, but not to partake of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. We are very much aware of how the story unfolded. What really is the divine mind of God communicated in this account? What does it teach about how man ought to live in relation to who God is?

In Part 2 of this message, “Dealing with Fear, Hopelessness and Anxiety”, Pastor Jeffrey Walter continues to teach on the real source of man's miseries: living from himself. Highlighting on the hidden (spiritual) meaning of the account of the Fall of Man, he shows how God gives man free will, with the hope that man will choose to live from the tree of life. He explains that the tree of life is the will of God, which He desires to be at the center of every man's life. Eating of this tree keeps the man in God's paradise. Conversely, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil is the man's own evil desires, which plunge him into anxieties, hopelessness and fears (his own nakedness).

Through this message, the Lord will open your eyes to your current state (what rules you) and your need for Him. You will receive grace to journey with Him to supplant the tree of knowledge of good and evil at the center of your heart with the tree of life.
