About this listen

With the growing trend of working from home, also known as telecommuting, there is an increased need to be able to communicate with your coworkers and perform the same tasks from home as you would from the office such as having your weekly meetings and sharing ideas and presentations.

There has also been an increased need to be able to communicate with friends and family to stay in touch since we can’t always just drop by for a visit for various reasons such as not living in the same area.

The Zoom Communications group has a service that allows us to stay connected with each other for both personal and professional reasons and fortunately it’s fairly easy to use and also free to use if you can get by with the features they offer in the free version. If you want to take advantage of the more advanced features then you can subscribe to a monthly plan for a reasonable price.

The goal of this book is to get you up and running with the Zoom service and software and cover all the things you need to know to get you started hosting meetings, webinars and video calls. It sticks with the basics yet covers a wide variety of topics to help you achieve some professional looking results without needing to be a computer guru.

The chapters in the book cover the following topics:

Chapter 1 – What is Zoom?
Chapter 2 – Signing up for Zoom
Chapter 3 – The Zoom Interface
Chapter 4 – Zoom Meetings
Chapter 5 – Zoom Webinars
Chapter 6 – Configuring Settings
Chapter 7 – Using Zoom on Your Mobile Device
Chapter 8 – Additional\Advanced Zoom Features
