With each of them isolated trying to protect the other, their strength is diminished. Even with the love they share, can they make it out of this alive?

I loved this series. The mysteries were interesting and the romance was believable. I really love the narrator and got the first book mostly to listen to him. So glad I did, found a great author duo.

I always enjoy Sean Crisden's narration. To me, there is just something soothing about his voice and the way he adds life to the characters.

I loved how important the animals are in this book. I have spent most of my life close to wooded areas. The animals living in those areas are as important to my daily life as my neighbors. Like Tiber and Gabriel, my significant other and I consider our fluffball to be a family member. I kept finding things in this book that I could relate to.

Great narration, sweet romance, an interesting plot, a wonderful cast of characters, and a beautiful setting make this a book worth listening to.
