virtual voice....hmmmm

The story was okay, I enjoyed it. Not going to give any spoiler alerts. This is the second audio book I have listened to that has used virtual voice rather than actual people for narrating, and that's what I want to talk about here. Overall, and all things considered, the virtual voice did a fairly good job. But, as one would imagine, the virtual voice doesn't know when to use proper voice inflections and sometimes, actually quite often, puts the emphasis wrong in the sentence so that the sentence reads wrong when you're listening to it. It's pretty much a monotone, but periodically there's a little bit of voice change/voice inflection. I have to say, l'm not a big fan of the virtual voice so far. I think it has a long way to go before it can replace real people for narrating/reading stories.
