Acerca de esta escucha

Kidnapping, murder, romance, and a town full of people hiding the truth will keep Sunny Haddock busy as she tries to unravel the strange happenings in Peculiar.

Moving from California to a small town called Peculiar in the Ozark's with my BFF Chavvah Trimmel should’ve been a total fun-fest. But then her older brother goes missing and our plans are put on hold. That is until she mysteriously texts me for help before going completely radio-silent.

I’d always heard small-town people are friendly and welcoming, but that isn’t my experience. These locals are not only unfriendly, they're downright hostile. Even Chavvah's hot younger brother, Babel, strongly suggests that I haul my butt back where I came from. I’m undeterred. I’m not about to go anywhere until I find out what happened to my bestie and her brother and solve the mystery this town is trying so hard to hide.

I may be psychic, but it doesn’t take a fortune teller to see things are about to get real hairy in Peculiar!

Books in the Peculiar Mysteries series from USA Today best-selling author Renee George are laugh-out-loud, grip-the-edge-of-your-seat, and swoon-as-you-fall-in-love tales of mystery, humor, and romance that take place in the small (fictional) Ozark shifter town of Peculiar, Missouri.

The narrator was too sweet for the character. She needed to put a little more snark in it. I loved the story, can't wait for the next book.

Small town relatable

This was a character driven story and the characters sprang to life between the author's words and the talented narrator. You will get sucked into Peculiar quickly and feel like this crazy place is home. If you love a story that springs to life, this one's for you!

Great Story!

SMART SASSY AND DESCRIPTIVE.
This is upbeat and I just love the narrators perky voice, she really brings the humour to the show. Written in a fun way that brings a smile to your face. Recommended.

I usually don't read this genre.
But I cannot not read something from this author.
Twist and turns galore made this a fine listen. Inwver know quote what I think of this authorsbeliefs systems.. But I am always pleased with HEA.
Can't fault her on that account.
Worth the wait to hear this.
I will always hunt for more from Ms. George.
off to the next in the series.

Love the names .. Baby. Babel. perfect.
Sunshine/Sunny another favorite.
Chav? well I am sure that one will grow on me as I continue the adventures in Peculiar, a fitting name for this Peculiar series.

Decently written, good story, great narration! Not a work of literary character development- but it's a stress-relieving, fun story. Well read with characters interesting enough to evoke a decent level of emotional response. The humor was enough to bring forth those out-loud, unexpected laughs and I look forward to another- as long as it's a Hollie Jackson read!

Quirky, fun and blessedly without the ridiculous self-inflicted idiotic angst so often found in the female heroines of the genre

Where does You've Got Tail rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Right up at the top for enjoyment.

What did you like best about this story?

All though I am not usually a fan of first person--Hollie Jackson is the perfect Sunny, feisty, snarky, little human in a paranormal town.

Which scene was your favorite?

Too many favorites to choose.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did and since it is 8 hours long--oh well, who needs to sleep.

Any additional comments?

I read this book over a year ago, and this is my book review--if possible the audio was even better.

Original Book review:What great mystery--a fun read with some really serious situations. I am not (usually) a fan of first person narrative. Ms. George has educated me. Now I know I am a fan of witty, funny and sharp first person repartee. Yes, Sunny talks to herself—a lot. And it is often hysterical.
Sunny travels to Patience to find her friend, Chavvah, who has gone missing, just like the older brother she came to town to find. Sunny is also an on again off again psychic. Little does she know what she is about to find. A town of shifters, all kinds, who don't want her to find their secret and want her gone, a sexy little brother to her friend who is anything but little and wants Sunny. No, no—friends brother and much younger man—not good.

But the secrets that plague the town are killing people and the longer she stays, the more people she meets, the more her abilities give clues to the crimes. So much so that Sunny is repeatedly attacked and a ghost of the missing attaches to her—and not in human form.

There is not one dull minute in this read, there are laughs and emotions, characters you love, hate, who repel, and let's not forget a crazy female or two. This is one you should not miss. If you do YOU'LL BE SORRY....

Talk about a loaner--one human-a town of shifters.

The heroine is an unbelievably sex obsessed moron, with absolutely no sense of self preservation. She has visions that she knows are always true, but she ignores them and calls them useless, instead of using them to find her missing friend. She has the ghost of her friends murdered brother trying to help her ,but she shoos him away like a stray cat, and mostly ignores him.She claims to be there to find her friend, but all she thinks about is sex,and anything that distracts her from it she ignores or finds annoying.when she has visions that could help her find out what's going on,she doesn't tell anyone because she's only thinking about herself and the fact that they might not believe her. She has no ability or desire to protect herself, and no matter how many times she gets attacked, she chases away anyone else who tries to keep her safe. I like mystery romance and I am not averse to some sizzle, but a heroine that is so constantly sex obsessed that there isn't room for anything else in her head at all is really just repellant. The ending was good, which was the close to the only thing that made the book worthwhile.

Annoying Airhead
