About this listen
FEAR HAS A NEW ADDRESS - RIGHT NEXT DOOR...
If you’d told me four months ago that I’d be lying on damp grass, clutching a bullet wound to the stomach, while next to me the love of my life lies dead from a bullet wound to the head, I’m not sure I would have believed you.
If you’d told me I’d be surrounded by three other dead bodies, I definitely wouldn’t have believed you.
And if you’d said it was all because of an argument over a metre of land, I would have thought you’d lost your mind. I might have even laughed.
This is nothing to laugh about.

Romantic, sexy, horrific, funny, darkly brilliant!
Carrie Magillen is in a different league from other psychological thriller writers out there and she’s done it again with a thriller based on her own experiences. This book has everything: romance, sex, laughter, paranoia, mind games, gut-churning horror and death! But it’s the entirely believable characters that really grip you.
Miriam Margolyes’ portrayal of Glenda with her warped fantasies of sexual encounters and violence had me laughing and cringing in equal measure, while feeling so much sympathy for her poor husband Gerald who’s brilliantly cast as Toby Jones. Gemma Whelan (Game of Thrones) then ties the whole story together with her enchanting performance as Laura.
The end is an absolute jaw-dropper! Darkly farcical and at times hilarious with a final scene that reduced me to tears. An emotional rollercoaster, like all of her books. Keep them coming, Carrie!
