About this listen

FOREWORD BY ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER.

What if the healthiest diet included the foods that were enjoyable and respectful of our stressful, overbooked lives? You couldn’t screw it up! Here’s a can’t-miss plan that will build unbreakable habits by incorporating mindset changes, easy restaurant options, and more from “the perfect person to blaze a better path” (Arnold Schwarzenegger).

The diet industry is great at making you follow more diets, not making you leave dieting behind. You don't need another restrictive, unrealistic plan; you need tools that help you enjoy what you eat (including takeout!) and be healthier at the same time.

Adam Bornstein is a bestselling author, and has consulted health icons including Arnold Schwarzenegger, LeBron James, Cindy Crawford, and Lindsey Vonn. He’s one of the most trusted voices in health because of his ability to get results without gimmicks, supplements, or suffering.

In this easy-to-follow book, Bornstein shows how upgrading your health and losing weight for good requires you to turn your back on the typical dieting culture by following successful habits and frameworks not typically seen in nutrition and fitness. It includes

  • A 6-week plan that allows you to eat the foods you prefer without counting calories or stressing macros.
  • Take-out options from the top fifty most visited restaurants in America (so you can eat anywhere guilt-free)
  • Thirty satisfying, nutritious recipes for all meals, including cinnamon-raisin French toast sticks, nachos, and sweet potato mac & cheese with bacon
  • Quick and easy meals, and effective workouts that can be done in as little as 15 minutes.

Once you learn a better way to build healthy habits, you can leave behind the shame and guilt of most plans and make the healthy lifestyle changes you’ve been chasing.

Supplemental enhancement PDF accompanies the audiobook.

Perfection is Unobtanium

Exceptional resource for simple, sustainable, healthy weight loss. Too many diets require wholesale lifestyle change and strict adherence and suffering where perfection is the standard, which often leads to burnout and failure.

You Can't Screw This Up is the alternative -- the right choice for long term, incremental improvement and weight loss, while still enjoying guilt free bliss food from time to time. I found this book to be an incredible, principle based, common sense approach to to eating and highly recommend to anyone who wants to lose weight and feel great.

THE Holy Bible Of Real-Life Eating!!

This is a must read holy bible providing a game plan to exit the hamster wheel of dieting, sans muffin top. It frees you from unrealistic approaches such as having to count every calorie. With its guidance, I now feel equipped to handle real-life situations, such as navigating airport food options or dining out with friends for an entire week - without throwing in the towel and failing with abandon.

Adam Bornstein is the voice of reason in the world health and fitness. How do you end up a go-to advisor for icons like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Lebron James and Cindy Crawford? He has the rare ability to bypass foolish trends, despite hearing about them first. He cuts through the BS that flies around all of us. The kimkins diet does still hold some allure, of course (reference to a diet with a heavy use of laxatives). This book will steer you away from such pitfalls.

I picked up this book on the heels of putting on another 15 mysterious pounds in the blink of an eye. I’m so glad I read it. Thank you for writing it. Found it via Arnold Schwarzenegger’s app ‘The Pump’ which I also cannot recommend more highly. There are a ton of science-based ideas, explained in a way even I could understand. I wholeheartedly give it my highest recommendation!

Bornstein's approach is a beacon of honesty that cuts through the manipulative dumpster fire we call the wellness industry.

This book is a quick and easy listen that will transform the lost, confused, and unhealthy into the confident, fit, and self assured people they all can be. Its gimmick is that it doesn't need a gimmick because it's honest in a dishonest industry. It is a book that will empower its reader rather than feed them garbage about the next new bad food to avoid or the next ridiculous fad diet that will crush the souls of the misguided.

Stop searching. This is your last stop, this is the book you've been looking for. You will learn much more than how to eat because Bornstein has a way of getting you there without you knowing you went for the ride.

This is going to teach you once and for all how to lose the weight, keep it off, and be comfortable while you do it. Do yourself a big favor and stop reading this review and start listening to You Can't Screw This Up.

Awesome Read!

A health/nutrition book for real people living in the real world - with all it’s challenges, constraints, and imperfections. It’s about philosophy as much as biology, but brings a healthy dose of both, backed up by research and citations.

Anything That Is a Problem,Will Make You Miserable

I am a fan of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s PUMP Club podcast as it is a 5 min attitude adjustment that lifts your spirits and gets you going in the right direction. This book is from one of Arnold’s co worker buddies. YOU GOTTA LOVE THE TITLE, who has taken heaps of knowledge from many tried methods to get healthy and combined them all in one place. The first chapters, you will either love or NOT! If you can’t take philosophical knowledge, and just want the how to, then jump to ch.8. but it is in the philosophy that will get you where you want to go in the end. If you want to change your life from the yo yo of dieting and really want a new life style, then this book is for you.

It's a beginners guide

I give it a 4 star, because it's long and representative. I listened to every word, every chapter, because I didn't want to miss something. The first 5 chapters, could easily be skipped and did in my opinion not have any added value.
However the summary of every chapter is great and there few lines great to remember. Like the marshmallow experiment.
Other positive thing: the narrator speaks smooth and easy to follow.
