Publisher's summary

The first three books in the best-selling Witches of Half Moon Bay series. Action-packed urban fantasy with a heavy dose of paranormal romance. Witches, werewolves, and WTF.

I’m what you call normal by day, and woo-woo by night.

As a college student, I spend my days in class and my evenings selling sage to PTA moms who do moon rituals to manifest better parking spaces. My best friend is a cat who likes pizza, and a “night out” includes hand delivering mysterious packages to the local “coven” of small business owners who repeatedly invite me to their meetings - clothing optional.

My life is weird. But it’s not magic. Magic isn’t real. At least, that’s what I believed - right up until the moment he walks into my store.

Alex Channing is rude, brutish, and a constant pain in my ass. He’s also the hottest specimen I’ve ever seen. Maybe that’s why words fail me in his presence. Or maybe it’s the pinging feeling in my gut that says he’s more than what he seems.

But when he miraculously saves me from certain death, at the hand of a monster whose very existence shouldn’t even be possible, I’m forced to reconsider what’s real.

My denial is strong, but the reality of who - and what - Alex really is can’t be ignored. Neither can the existence of the monsters who hunt me. The truth is magic is real. And the only thing I’m more in danger of losing than my life - is my heart.

Get hooked on werewolves and witches in a way you've never heard them before! This set contains the first three books in the best-selling Witches of Half Moon Bay series. Follow Sam and Alex on their journey through the world of witches, werewolves, and wtf!

Great Great Story

Love this story and all the characters. Just the right blend of action, romance, and suspense and yes a little drama. The narrator did a great job with the different characters. Cant wait to see what happens next. Highly recommended.

growing

I loved how Alex and Sam grew from book 1-3. I felt how lost Sam was when she knew something was wrong. It was hard for Sam to learn that hunters, werewolves, and witches were real and who to trust. loved how this story was told when Sam found out who she was and who had lied to her, Sam and all of the great characters that Heather brought to life. Kelly mad this story come to life. I love this box set and I can't wait to see what happens next

Entertaining story, terrible narration

I struggled through this, as I was engaged enough to want to find out what happened, but the narration was like nails on a chalkboard. A pity, as with a good narrator, this could be so much better.

it took me 3 hours to realize...

this is a follow-up to the dirty blood series. they do not say that in any of the description but I started recognizing character names and realize that this entire book series is a spin-off from the dirty blood series. it takes one of the side characters from dirty blood and puts her into the main role with some of the other characters from the series. it's really hard to follow if you haven't just read the dirty blood series but if you have this is great follow-up I suppose... I'm actually going to stop reading it go back and reread the dirty blood series because it's been a few years and then I will continue with this book so I feel more caught up.

nice flow

This is a nice story with a good flow and rhythm. A little hard to tell the guy character at first but once I got used to the difference it was fine.

Retured the book after 3 hours

I didn't pay much attention to the chapter headings and made it to chapter seven before realizing I was hearing two characters, not one character having flashbacks. The narrator has a nice voice, but uses the same voice for multiple people. Makes it hard to keep track of who is talking. Story has potential, but needs more detail.

haaahhhj

Relays the same info again and again. Irritating. Also the main solving of the issues are like Dragon Ballz. Not knowing if that guy will finally charge up and whether the bad guy will finally attack.

It’s worth the wait

I had a hard time distinguishing between male and female voices. It actually took to book 3 but I liked the story and have the next box set to listen to

Narration was average and storyline slow

The narration was average. The absolutely horrible squeky voice used for the main character was like finger nails on a chaulk board. The storyline was rather slow and made it hard to finish the book.

Could have been better

I am still trying to get through this box set bc I paid for it. But it is not easy. The reader makes the story confusing. I ended up restarting the book at chapter four bc I couldn't make heads or tails who was who or how it all related. The story is based on two main characters and the reader does a poor job of distinguishing between the female and male characters. They get somewhat better as the story progresses but they make the female sound like a whinny weak female vs the traumatized female that she is. This can be very off putting. as for the male the reader doesn't always change her voice tone to support that character so you don't always catch on to the reader reading the male narrative vs reading story plot lines. It just becomes a lot to follow and the whole reason I enjoy audio books is that I can enjoy a book while I am a multi tasking mom. I would seriously love to hear this box set being read by either a more expressive reader or by a female and a male reader for the respective parts. I think the story itself would be much more enjoyable then. As is it wasn't worth the purchase.
