About this listen
Return to the world of the Wingfeather Saga with Andrew Peterson and his all-star author friends.
Immerse yourself in a land of bomnubbles and quarreling cousins, sea dragons and book publishers, thieves and Fangs and secret maps. Here within this book lie seven stories of the distant past, lost adventures, forgotten songs, and heartbreaking histories. The Shining Isle is restored, but Aerwiar is vast - and these authors have tales yet to tell:
• Explore the inner walls of Yorsha Doon, just west of the Woes of Shreve, on the edge of the Dark Sea of Darkness, from the eyes of young Safiki in “The Prince of Yorsha Doon” from the creator of Aewiar, Andrew Peterson.
• Jennifer Trafton's warm and whimsical writing brings to life a publishing nightmare populated by the many beasts of Skree in “The Wooing of Sophelia Stupe".
• Learn the origins of Ollister Pebmrick's mysterious entry in the Creaturepedia about his encounter with a raggant in “Willow Worlds” by N. D. Wilson.
• Travel with young Podo Helmer on an epic hunt for sea dragons in “From the Deeps of the Dragon King” from A. S. Peterson.
• Jonathan Rogers presents “The Ballard of Lanric and Rube”, sung by Armulyn the Bard, tale-spinner of the imaginary Shining Isle of Anniera, in On the Edge of the Dark Sea of Darkness.
• Discover what life was like for Maraly and Gammon in post-war Skree in “Shadowblade and the Florid Sword" - the first-ever Wingfeather comic - by Andrew Peterson. (Included in a dowanloadable PDF.)
• Douglas McKelvey's epic, heartbreakingly hopeful novella "The Places Beyond the Maps” recounts a father's journey to redemption.
You'll also find delightful illustrations by Justin Gerard, Hein Zaayman, Cory Godbey, John Hendrix, Nicholas Kole, Aedan Peterson, Joe Sutphin, Jay Myers, and Doug TenNapel in the downloadable PDF.
Enter a rich, imaginative world that becomes more real, more mysterious, more dangerous, and more beautiful with each story's telling.
* This audiobook includes a downloadable PDF that contains illustrations and the first-ever Wingfeather Saga comic, one of the seven stories from the book.
PLEASE NOTE: When you purchase this title, the accompanying PDF will be available in your Audible Library along with the audio.

12-year-old Aidan Errolson, comes from a long line of adventurers. His grandparents were among the first settlers of Corenwald's Eastern Frontier. Story
This book is in many ways a memoir, but it’s also an attempt to wake up the listener to the glory of God shining through his creation. One of the first commands to Adam and Eve was to “work and keep” the garden. Award-winning author and songwriter Andrew Peterson, being as honest as possible, shares a story of childhood, grief, redemption, and peace by walking through a forest of memories

Story
While there are many books about writing, none deal firsthand with the intersection of songwriting, storytelling, and vocation, along with nuts-and-bolts exploration of the great mystery of creativity. In Adorning the Dark, Andrew describes six principles for the writing life: serving the work, serving the audience, selectivity, discernment, discipline, and community. Through stories from his own journey, Andrew shows how these principles are not merely helpful for writers and artists but for anyone interested in imitating the way the Creator interacts with his creation.

Story
This is the first volume in a bold new series that tells the stories of all peoples, connecting historical events from Europe to the Middle East to the far coast of China, while still giving weight to the characteristics of each country. Susan Wise Bauer provides both sweeping scope and vivid attention to the individual lives that give flesh to abstract assertions about human history. This narrative history employs the methods of "history from beneath" - literature, epic traditions, private letters, and accounts - to connect kings and leaders with the lives of those they ruled.

Story
After Tova Sullivan’s husband died, she began working the night shift at the Sowell Bay Aquarium, mopping floors and tidying up. Keeping busy has always helped her cope, which she’s been doing since her eighteen-year-old son, Erik, mysteriously vanished on a boat in Puget Sound over thirty years ago. Tova becomes acquainted with curmudgeonly Marcellus, a giant Pacific octopus living at the aquarium. Marcellus knows more than anyone can imagine but wouldn’t dream of lifting one of his eight arms for his human captors—until he forms a remarkable friendship with Tova.

Story
Magic pulses bright in Arden, a world where humans who craft magic have been at war and separated for hundreds of years. Now a new era has dawned, the unicorns have returned, and the prime minister has decreed that apprentices from all four guilds will learn in the newly formed Unicorn Academy. But peace is tenuous: As rumors spread of dark magic and of unicorns disappearing, twelve-year-old apprentice Olivia Hayes is caught between her joy at newfound magical abilities at the academy and proving to everyone that her older sister, Laurel, is NOT a unicorn poacher.

Yes, Uh, and NO
There are good and bad in this book. I loved each story except The Places Beyond the Maps and From the Deeps of the Dragon King.
The Dragon King- uh…
The Dragon King was good, but I wish it would have ended with talk of Grandma and how she felt about the Hunters. The story needed a better ending.
Then there is Beyond the maps. No, no, no.
Beyond the Maps is just gut wrenching and only made me unhappy for days. It left the same taste in my mouth as Ghibli’s Grave of Fireflies. It is a painful story. It took me a week to finish and I only finished it out of stubbornness.

Truly gripping
so good to get back into this world! These short stories really take you into the deep depths of the pain of a father, a mother, and a child...yet also bring to light the true joy that ultimately comes from the one of the great mountain. if you were wondering if you should skip this because it's not part of the main story, don't skip it, but definitely listen to the Wingfeather Saga first.

A pulchritudinous compilation of beautiful ballads
A wonderful sweater of yarns ranging from one side of Skree to the other. Andrew Peterson's unbelievable mastery of words, N.D. Wilson's fascinating tales, Jennifer Trafton's whimsical yet wonderfully meaningful writing, and most of all Douglas Kaine Mckelvey's heart-tearing, yet heart-warming story, which held me fast and in awe from start to end. Thank you so much.

I laughed I cried it was a wonderful return to this world Andrew Peterson created. It feels like CS Lewis meets Tolkien meets... you know what? just read it and decide for yourself.

Wide as the Dark Sea and Twice as Deep!
These stories are rich and varied, full of the same heart and whimsy that made the saga great. They're all fantastic in their own way, but the final novella was pure poetry, and well worth the cost on its own.
This series has been a delight, and my only regret is that I've found myself at the end of it!
