About this listen

It all started with a wedding....
Well, three weddings, to be exact. The one that happened, the one that went up in flames, and the one nobody saw coming.

I’ve seen a lot of things living in Vegas. Hell, I’ve done a lot of things. But one thing I’ve never witnessed is a beautiful brunette, hitchhiking her way into the city, wearing a wedding dress. Until now, that is.

Brynne Adams is running away from a broken heart. She expected a lot of things from her wedding day but finding photos of her fiancé and maid of honor and best man in a compromising position wasn’t one of them. And I’m absolutely certain she never imagined she’d end up marrying me, the stranger that rescued her from the side of the road that day.

Our quick nuptials may have been the result of a drunken joke, but I soon realize that love can be found in the most unlikely of places if you just stop and take a chance.

Wicked Wedding is the fourth book in the LEFT AT THE ALTAR series in a collaboration of six New York Times best-selling authors: J. S. Scott, Ruth Cardello, Raine Miller, Sawyer Bennett, Minx Malone, and Melody Anne.

Andrew, Andrew, Andrew

I've been waiting for Andrew's story, and let me tell you, it was worth the wait!! I love this series so much, and I hope the Wicked Horse never goes away (hear that Sawyer? Pretty please!).

No spoilers, but the previous Wicked story Andrew was in was a smokin' hot one! Obviously, there wasn't an HEA for him, and I really, really, really wanted him to have one. Under the unusual circumstances Andrew and Brynne come to meet, you can clearly see it was fate. Lance and Kirsten do a wonderful job--as usual--with the narration of this couple's tale.

Brynne has her own issues to deal with, but Andrew becomes a great distraction, until they both see something in each other that might mean their distraction connection is an excuse. There is some angst in this story, but not too much, because I'm not a fan of angst. But, it's well placed, and I absolutely love how everything played out. As with any great author, sub-characters appear, and you kind of want to see them get their own story. One can only hope.

Wicked Horse Adjacent

This is much more a traditional romance than a Wicked Horse romance. I'm glad Andrew manages to find his HEA, but there is minimal sex and no club.

I love Andrew!

Andrew Collings, single, rich, and handsome.  After being unlucky in love, he never thought he had a chance at finding the perfect woman for him.  Seeing his best friends fall in love and get married has given him hope. Driving down the highway he encounters a woman and finds that maybe true love does exist.

Brynne Adams, beautiful and newly single. She experiences the ultimate betrayal on her wedding day and surprisingly she isn’t devastated. She accepts the help of a stranger and what was supposed to be two people, keeping each other company has turned into more than what she bargained for.

The Good: True love written in beautiful Sawyer Bennett fashion. I was excited to finally listen to Andrew’s story, especially after becoming the third wheel in a threesome relationship. I was happy to see him get his HEA.

The Bad: Brynne’s ex was a total douche! He committed the ultimate betrayal, but he acted as if it was somehow her fault and that she should look past what he did and forgive him.

The Ugly: The breakup. Enough said.

I enjoyed reading about Andrew. My heart broke for him in the last book and I was happy to see him find true love. The chemistry between these two was pure fire. From the beginning, they both knew they each needed something from the other…. just to forget reality for a little while and escape into themselves. I didn’t like how judgmental she was toward the lifestyle of others, but I understood it because of what transpired and ultimately ruined her relationship. This is a love story of betrayal and acceptance. The question is can true love conquer all. Is it enough to mend a broken heart and allow you to accept the past of another? A true question of faith and trust. A Solid 4 ½ Star Read!

Boring. Skip this one

This book is nothing like the other books in the series. Skip it. I wouldn’t waste a credit. The sex club isn’t even part of the book.

It coulda been better....!!!

I used my credit on this book because I like the author Sawyer Bennett. She has had some great series with other narrators. I recently finished "Erik" with Jason Clarke by Sawyer and it was awesome!! I tried real hard to like this Audio but it was the narration. They just didn't seem to connect, no passion and I have listened to Lance Greenfield before and he was good. The story wasn't bad, but for me, I couldn't connect with the narrators, especially the female. I usually just don't write a review when I am dissatisfied but this is only me, as others might like these narrators together.
