Publisher's summary

Susan Mallery welcomes you to Happily Inc, where true love isn’t just for fairy tales....

Natalie Kaleta will do anything for the artists at her gallery, including risk life, limb, and the effect of humidity on her naturally curly hair. Braving a downpour to check on reclusive Ronan Mitchell, Natalie gets stranded by a mudslide at his mountain home, where the brooding glass artist reveals his playful side, sending her inconvenient crush from under the radar to over the top.

After a secret tore apart his family and made him question his sense of self, Ronan fled his hometown for Happily Inc, but the sunny small town can’t fix his damaged heart. He won’t give in to his attraction for beautiful, perpetually cheerful Natalie. She’s untouched by darkness - or so he thinks.

Natalie knows that when a heart goes through the flame, it comes out stronger. Life may not be a fairy tale, but sometimes dreams do come true. Why not this one? Why not tonight?

Life's moments

A good depiction of a developing relationship, complete with friends, family, problems, and warm personal growth. But with a light atmosphere of close connections and supportive people enjoying life.
The reader made this story come to life by voicing the many appropriate emotions and intonations of various characters. In fact I think she made it more than it might have been if read by someone else, and actually more than if read as a print version.

loved the twist in plots

this was a great story and it's so down to earth, the brothes all had their own ways but still the love for each other never changed.

Another great story

Susan Mallory continues to delight in her Happily Inc. series. I loved Natalie, her love for life and the way she took Ronan to task for throwing away what he had. Finding their future together was sweet and happy. Tanya Eby did her usual stellar job with the storytelling.

Fun series

I've enjoyed this series. It builds on the Fools Gold series. Due to the characters I went back to read Thrill Me in the Fools Gold series which was the story of the first Mitchell brothers. It must be almost impossible for an author to remember all the details from a prior book. In Thrill Me the father's mistress was Candy. In this book it was Pippa. Oh well. If you enjoy lots of fantasy's plaid out, royalty, successful artists and entrepreneurs these are the books for you.

Natalie Beards the Dragon, or Something Like That.

I want to move to Happily, Inc., where every ending is a HEA! This is Natalie and Ronan's story. Poor Ronan can't get over the fact that the woman he thought was his mother until about a year ago is not his biological mother and she was lying to him the whole time. He also doesn't believe he deserves someone as untouched by tragedy as Natalie. Natalie can't understand why he is willing to walk away from his relationships with his family members when she has no family! Find out how they resolve their differences and triumph over their tragedies. I pretty much listened to this every available minute!
