About this listen
Did you know that indulging in just three alcoholic drinks per week increases a woman's risk of breast cancer by 15 percent? If you are shocked by that, we have 101 more jaw-dropping truths about alcohol and women that will make you rethink that glass of wine. These are the hard truths about alcohol they don't want you to find out...
Sienna Green's latest eye-opening audiobook, Why Don't You Drink Alcohol? 101 Reasons to Stop Drinking Like a Woman Called Karen, offers a compelling blend of humor, personal narratives, and stark revelations about alcohol consumption among women. Through 101 enlightening insights, Green manages to provoke laughter, induce discomfort, and stir a sobering awareness of the pervasive harm alcohol inflicts on every facet of life. This is not just another audiobook; it's a transformative journey that will make you rethink your next drink.
Why Don't You Drink Alcohol? is here to bust some serious myths about ladies and libations. It's your go-to guide for all the sober-curious women out there and a friendly reminder for ladies in sobriety about why they swapped pinot for Perrier in the first place. Penned by Sienna, an ex-actress who traded stage scripts for sobriety journals, this audiobook is a candid chronicle of her journey from living sober through Alcoholics Anonymous to living it up, sans the spirits.
Green serves up a refreshing reality check against the backdrop of a booze-soaked culture. With 101 compelling reasons to quit, she sparks a desire to begin an extraordinary adventure that's entirely alcohol-free.

But poor nutrition, stress, and long-term use of antibiotics and antacids can throw it completely off-balance, leading to a number of health issues. Brain fog, headaches, poor concentration and memory, fatigue, trouble sleeping, and issues with cravings or bad moods are all your body’s way of warning you of your poor gut health.

Motherhood is demanding (to say the least), but when all of your mental and physical energy is directed towards a tiny human, you are neglecting yourself. And when you are neglected, you don’t have the energy or strength to take care of your completely dependent newborn. But you’re probably thinking how can I possibly put my needs above those of my baby? The truth of the matter is, your baby needs you to be at your best, and this is achieved through self-care. Self-care has many misconceptions, and due to the prefix, it’s all too often associated with selfishness.

Story
The goal isn't to be sober. The goal is to love yourself so much you don't need to drink. For decades we have been sold the idea that alcohol is our 'reward' at the end of a busy day. We use it to celebrate and commiserate, for self-care and socialising, and to relieve the stress of the daily grind. But alcohol affects our physical and mental wellbeing in ways we don't even realise. It negatively impacts our sleep, anxiety levels, weight and skin, not to mention our mood and mindset. If you can't remember when you last felt energised, optimistic or motivated, you are not alone.

Her increasingly dysfunctional relationship with alcohol had to stop, but after decades of social drinking, she was terrified of what that might mean. Outwardly, Craig was a highly successful and functioning professional man in spite of a ‘two-bottles-of-wine-a-night" drinking habit. For 20 years he struggled to control his drinking, all the time refusing to label himself an alcoholic because he didn't believe he met the stereotypical image that the word portrayed.

Story
Craig Beck is a well-regarded family man with two children, a nice home, and a successful media career; a director of several companies and at one time the trustee of a large children’s charity.

Didnt Know That!
For personal and religious reasons, I have never been one to drink alchol. Putting that aside, though, the 101 reasons alone after listening to this book would have put me off of drinking for good if I was a drinker. Gives me great cause for concern for my friends who do drink heavily. I'm certainly glad someone is speaking up and seeking to make an impact in a majority industry.

AMAZING READ!!
When you examine the amount of people and children affected by alcoholism every day, you can see that it is a severe health problem that can result in serious health problems. Drinking alcohol severely damages the user's health and the relationships of those who care about them. It also drains, destroys, and creates severe sickness.
This was a short yet quite useful read. Although the subject may easily become very dark, the author has managed to soften the tone of the work as a whole. Contains a wealth of fascinating information regarding the effects of alcohol on the body, as well as uplifting statistics about the advantages of not drinking. highly advised !
