Publisher's summary

A murder at a restaurant launch. An accused suspect claiming his innocence. Can a small town florist piece together the clues that will solve this murder mystery?

Helping her aunt grow her floristry business has given a new purpose to Tracy’s life. She’s delighted to be introduced to a young entrepreneur who plans to open the trendiest restaurant in the Pacific Northwest. The addition of her lily arrangement transforms a dull-looking room into a swanky functional space that has everyone responding in awe and admiration.

On the opening night of the restaurant, things take a sour turn when the jovial atmosphere is ruined by a rival restaurateur. Things go from bad to worse when the spouse of this rival is found dead.

Did something the deceased ate at the restaurant cause their death or something else?

The police arrest the young owner of the restaurant and make him their number one suspect. The rumor mill in Fern Grove is buzzing as the cause of the murder is discussed in every nook and corner in town.

Tracy is filled with pity and sadness as she watches this young man transform from a confident and passionate individual to a broken and bitter one.

Tracy knows how it feels to be wrongfully accused. The public court of opinion can be unforgiving in its verdict...even when the facts don’t add up.

Can Tracy piece together clues that will reveal the truth and set this person free?

If you want to enjoy a light-hearted listen, with an amateur female sleuth and a gripping murder mystery with a touch of romance, then you'll love Tracy Adams and all the friendly and not-so-friendly characters in Fern Grove. No cliff-hanger, swearing, or graphic scenes!

White Lily and a Fatal Chili

Tracey gets a floral arrangement job for a friend, Luke, who has opened a restaurant. While she is taking some compliments of the floral arrangements a rival restaurant owner named Mallory enters with his wife who proceeds to sample the food laid out. Then she starts a coughing fit and she and her husband leave. Later that night Mallory's wife dies. Luke's food comes under investigation and bad feelings run rampant. Now Tracey needs to keep Luke on track and calm while being drawn into finding who, if anyone, harmed Mallory's wife.
Elena Marino has a soothing tone that draws the listener into the story.

A clean cozy mystery

I enjoyed White Lily and a Fatal Chili. I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request in exchange for an honest review. This is a clean cozy mystery . Tracy helps out Luke, a young man opening his restaurant. When a competitor's wife dies during the opening Luke is arrested for the crime. Tracy works to solve the mystery of who killed the woman and how to get Luke back in business. I liked the narrator. I recommend this book.

So very well-written and enjoyable

White Lily and a Fatal Chili (Fern Grove #3), my fourth read from author Abby Reede & my third read in this series in the last 2 days. Well-written & enjoyable. another cute, clean cozy mystery with well-developed characters and detailed settings. I look forward to reading Freesia and Lethal Amnesia (Fern Grove Cozy Mystery Book 5). I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reading & reviewing it. Narrator Elena Marino's narration adds to the book's enjoyment. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Loved It!!!!!

Stopped in the middle of it for a video chat with my granddaughter and was able to still pick right back up with it, and know where I was. I love the fact that Tracey uses her experience with her life events to help not just Tiffany to see the big picture, but later Luke with his own life getting back on track after his 2nd chance looks like it might be derailed again. It is a great tale told by a great narrator! So if you love a cozy mystery and looking to hear one as well you can't go wrong with this duo!
