About this listen

Chase Logan lives by no man’s leave, a solitary drifter who closed off his heart long ago - until the day he impulsively does a kindness for a beautiful young widow, and everything changes.

For two years, Jessie Strong has dreamt of the day she could bring little Sarah home from the orphanage and call the child her own. But when her husband dies, Jessie fears the family she’s longed for is slipping away - until Chase Logan unexpectedly comes to her rescue. By pretending to be her husband, Chase can make all of her dreams come true.

Three days are all she asks of him. Three days to ignite a love neither of them ever imagined possible….

Delightful

Good example of how clear communication can help to avoid grief and misunderstanding. Thoroughly enjoyed

It's a wonderful story.

it says that leaving a paragraph is optional then it tells you you have to leave at least 15 words. It was a good story. I don't want to say more.

loved it

my first book by this author and won't be the last. I read/listen all different types of books, but it's been awhile for a romantic western.

This book had a strong story line and strong characters. With lots of unexpected twists. Ms Fyfee does a good job building the characters and backdrop. if you close your eyes you can picture the setting.

This book is about strangers becoming family first out of need (and trickery) and then love. You can almost feel the emotions building and you know what they are thinking because Ms Fyfee doesn't leave anything out.

As for Phil Gigante he's always been one of my favorites and he does not disappoint.

Hardship and Pain endure until Love comes softly.

After spending two years of educating myself in politics, I needed a break. I am not much of a novel reading person, the last great novels I read were from Eugenia Price decades ago. This novel did not disappoint, it is inspiring and a sweet love story.

Started off well

Distractingly cheesy voice performance, a slow moving plot and fairly pointless story ruined this for me. I really wanted to like this. I enjoy westerns and romance, so it wasn’t the genre that was the issue. The story began sweetly and had potential. The improbable villains, additions of unnecessary characters and overwrought drifting story line ruined it. I may go back to it, but doubt it. Im on chapter 34 of 48. Ughh.

Entertaining enough

I got sucked into the story but the writing is very cliche at times, almost comedic.

feel good story

Did Phil Gigante do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

All the voices were ok, good or great except the female lead

Any additional comments?

This wasn't really my kind of story, but I do recommend it to anyone needing a break from all the sex and dramatics in a lot of the romance these days. It's clean and sweet, but it's pretty predictable. It's kinda like a book version of a Hallmark show.
