Portrait of a Man!

I really enjoyed this book! The image that was given imbodied what it truly means to be a man. The stories of your grandfather and his dedication to his family inspired me. The added impact of your own perspective also made me feel connected on a human level. This is exactly what we need right now! So glad I was able to listen to this and I would highly recommend it!

This book is different!

This book did a really good job of teaching men what it actually means to be a man and helping women learn what to look for in a spouse. There are so many books that teach what to do but not how, which can lead to frustration. The author did not try and win women over nor win men over, but instead shared universal principles that will lead you to the logical solution if you allow it!

Although this book shared several Biblical references, it's not religious or leaves you feeling like this is something you can just get from church. As someone who's very non-religious, I really appreciate the authors perspective because it was based on things anyone can relate to and not just religious people or church goers.

The way he included relevant stories and movies that men love, to make specific points, allows you to learn in a way that's more inviting than from a place of condemning you as a man, because you didn't know something. It's a lot of pressure being a man and there are so many things we're supposed to know but don't and often we are not given the grace to not know because of outside expectations....

All in all, I highly recommend this book, especially if you're just starting out, don't have a wife or family yet, and want to do things the right way and be the best you can be, for those you desire to lead!

Great for the Modern Man

I loved the personal testimony and transparency of the authors journey of becoming a man according to the True and Living God’s standards. The stats and truths about the family structure without dads and how it affects society and the world as a whole was very eye opening . I loved the part about purpose over preference when it comes to choosing a spouse.
Great book for Men and Women. It’s a great book of correction, inspiration, truth and redemption to resurrect the modern man to be the man that our Creator wills for us to be! Our families, our communities, our schools, our churches, our judicial systems and the whole world needs the Man who the LORD made to have dominion in the earth the right way!

Outstanding Work!

I love the way this book highlights God's intentions for man's role in society. It shows how that role works with His plan for people as a whole. The author does an excellent job of giving personal references, and aways backs them with the authority of scripture. This was a great read, and will help all who want to get a biblical perspective on maturing into manhood.
