Publisher's summary

What do the five points of Calvinism really mean?

Many have heard of Reformed theology, but may not be certain what it is. Some references to it have been positive, some negative. It appears to be important, and they'd like to know more about it. But they want a full, understandable explanation, not a simplistic one.

What Is Reformed Theology? is an accessible introduction to beliefs that have been immensely influential in the evangelical church. In this insightful book, R. C. Sproul walks listeners through the foundations of the Reformed doctrine and explains how the Reformed belief is centered on God, based on God's word, and committed to faith in Jesus Christ. Sproul explains the five points of Reformed theology and makes plain the reality of God's amazing grace.

Very Insightful Work.

This is a very well reasoned and laid out book on the subject of Reformed Theology. The passages presented herein have caused me reexamine some of my interpretations of Scripture.

Revelation through structure with logical base

I like his from understanding based upon teaching, without always an aspect of emotion driven,
Dislikes that it’s always logic driven, there’s something to be said about a little bit more emotion behind it. Which is contradictory because this is the reason why I got it because it was logic-based. But I always enjoy it too.

Great information explained well

Great book, enjoyed it. I do wish Dr Sproul would have done the audio, though.

Great crash course

A well composed summary of the reformed position. Just enough detail to either peak your interest into further study or to satisfy curiosities.

What is Reformed Theology

Well read audio version of an excellent book by Sproul. Comprehensive and sufficient to explain various areas in contrast with Arminianism and Dispensationalism

what is this book about?

this book was wonderful, sproul can go as indepth on a topic as the best but can also explain it in a very well spoken way even the uneducated can understand it fully! He is definitely a go-to for me when I want to understand and study a topic or book of the bible. this book did not disappoint, it was well written and while explaining what the basics of reformed theology are he also gave some history and talked about previous debates between church leaders and the differences of their stances! over all I enjoyed the book, plan on listening to it a second time in the future.

Detailed, thorough, super helpful

RC Sproul does a fantastic job examining the convictions of reformed theology and the accompanying alternatives. His historical review combined with his thorough use of scripture results in a well ordered argument to guide inquirers of reformed theology and gently compel believers to accept God’s word as it is written
