About this listen

I’d never met my father, but on the day he died, he left me a letter. He said he'd leave all of his millions to me if I completed the tasks on his list. The first task at hand? Move into the same household as Stella Lane, my new step-sister.

Stella was cold. I was ice, too. Stella was lonely. I craved being alone. Stella didn't speak unless she had something to say. Each month, a new letter arrived with a new task. Each month, the tasks grew darker as more secrets of my past were revealed. Somehow every task circled back to the lonely girl living down the hall from me. Stella Lane didn't speak unless she had something to say. All I wanted was for her to have something to say to me.

Too Naive

There is no way a woman could be this naive about many of the situations in this book, even the stuff that occurred when Stella was a child. If Stella was supposed to represent Black women, she was way off the mark. The soft pebble-sounding voice added more fuel to the fire 🔥 ; speaking of needing to light a fire 🔥. Now I remember listening to this narrator before and didn’t like it then. Damien was more real than any of the other characters in this book, and some of the things with him were a bit far-fetched. The best thing about this book is the oh so handsome hunk on the cover, what a hottie!

Such a great story

I had seen this on TikTok and thought I’d give it a shot. I’m so glad I did. Such an emotional story and relatable. Loved that this was an actual plus sized woman. Often I find these characters carry a little more weight but it’s nothing major. This woman was 200+.
Such an amazing story of two people who had been through really hard times in their lives. He’s the grumpy and she’s the sunshine always looking for the positive. They are put in a unique situation but what an amazing ride. They are so good for each other. Did I cry??? Yes!! Was it worth it? Yes!! Such a great book! 💕

A real Romantic tear jerker.

Stella and Damien kept me in tears as they found true love with each other and watching as they grow into their dreams. I love this story the best of the series but the compass series is such a real well told story. Amazing!! Thank you

male narrator awful 😖

Trei Taylor always delivers so if she's the narrator I'm listening. but when Damien's character opened his mouth, I was pissed. I kept fast forwarding it to see if it would change and it just got worse. This was a miss and I can't get a refund because a paid cash😢

Ugh

I tried to return this, but unfortunately I had already listen to too much of it to return. This is very corny. The narrators are not very good at all very predictable I regret buying it.

Awful narration

I never write reviews but I felt it was a duty to warn people about the awful narration. Cringy
