About this listen

Enrolling at BCU was supposed to be my chance at freedom.

An escape from my parents who insist I follow in their footsteps as a Guardian of the Society. Keep the members safe—that's what I'm supposed to do. But how can I safeguard the students when I can't even protect myself?

Someone has been watching me. His eyes burn into my soul like a branding iron. At night, he haunts my dreams and transforms them into nightmares. Sometimes when I wake, he's there, standing at the foot of my bed in awe of my existence.

He isn't the one I fear most, though. Others have their eyes on me, too. Only their obsession runs deeper than Ridge's, and I fear if I fall under their thumbs, I won't make it out of here alive.

There once was a sicko who lurked in the mist.

He preyed on my soul baring a closed iron fist.

His stare made me itch while his eyes locked me under his spell.

But taking his hand may be my only escape from this hell.

We Will Reign is a dark college romance with mature content. Wicked Boys of BCU is a why-choose romance with a growing harem throughout the series.

A little rough

I listened to bca series first and it picked up right away however was definitely disappointed in the MFC in this she was given a weak character. Hopeful that book 2 and 3 are better with the MC.

Recommend listening to the BCA series 1st!!

The story line was good, but was disappointed in the MFC. I listened to the BCA series and loved it. Highly recommend listening to that series before BCU. The main BCA characters are all in the BCU series. Love seeing them in this new series. Also be aware the BCU series builds upon the BCA series. Knowing the MFC from the BCA series I am disappointed in her behavior. She is less confident, hurtful, rude, and just a disaster. Still can't believe how she treated someone, but I have hope in her! On to book#2! Also be aware book#3 is coming to Audible but not till Feb 20th.

Next books are way better

I really loved Bolder Cove University before this series. You must listen to that one first for this series to make sense. The first book of this series didn't grab me. I'm glad I continued because book 2&3 were awesome!

The beginning of a series. Ends on a cliffhanger

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.25
Spice: 🌶🌶🌶
Narration: 🎧🎧🎧🎧.5
Heat; 🔥🔥🔥🔥

I love Rachel Leigh's books and decided is give this one a try. It did end in a cliffhanger and I didn't know that before I purchased this book. I'm not a fan of cliffhanger, but if it's your thing and you don't mind them, then this was a good book.

Tropes:
- Dark College
- Why Choose/RH
- Secret Societies
- Obsessed/Possessive MMC
- Vrgn FMC
- Romantic Suspense

First, I want to say that I loved Ridge and his crazy, obsessed self. My heart went out to him and all that Riley puts him through. Is it just me, or is she a tease? I often thought that Levy was the only one thinking straight. He sees that Riley is coming between them and hates her for it.

I mean to know that your stalker loves you and would do anything for you asked or not just to keep you safe and happy. Then to sleep with him and let him take your cherry just to hurt him and tell him that you want him to give his blessing to his best friend Maddox that they can be together. And for Maddox to develop feelings for his best friends love, knowing all that Ridge had been through in life. When all Ridge asked was for Maddox to go talk to Riley and to "talk" Ridge up and try to get them together. Just for Maddox to stab his best friend in the back and kiss his girl. To me, it was stabbing his best friend of 20 years in the back. But at Ridge just wants Riley happy and if he has to step back and let her be with Maddox to make her happy, then he'll rip his own heart out in the process. I couldn't watch that happen, but Ridge does and he's so there for Riley and protects her.

My all in all is I feel sorry Ridge and love him. I think Maddox is a goody-to-shoes that wants daddies approval and to get the girl. Because he's the good looking one and doesn't think crazy like Ridge and Levy.I don't like Maddox. I don't really care for Riley and how she treats Ridge. She blames Ridge for everything and only sees him as bad, yet ask Ridge had done is protect her and keep her safe. But at the first sign of trouble shem run right back to Ridge. She would just rather deny her feelings for Ridge bc of his mental issues, but doesn't mind coming between his friendship with Maddox. Levy can be quite scary, but I think he sees more than he let's on and he's probably protecting Riley too. Levy only cares about his best friend and who protect them at anything. That epilogue between him and Riley 😱😱

The narrators were great. I love Stefanie Kay's voice. She had done some of the St. Mary's Rebels books by Saffron A. Kent. That's a great series BTW. But I love her voice. She did amazing with her voice doing the make parts. Theo Sinclair's voice was amazing a well. The raspy, gravely parts were heard throughout. They did a great job together in this book.

I stopped listening because of the story

I won’t tell grown ups what they can and cannot read/listen to but I want people to know that this book isn’t a sex filled story with an exciting plot. It is about barely legal people romanticizing abuse including stalking and assault. I was pretty turned off.

ABSOLUTELY NOT

The one man who literally worships her is the same man that she repeatedly rejects to the point that I actually cried. I don’t cry for men. She literally breaks his heart on purpose with no back or necessity, just literally doesn’t love him or give a shit about him. I will not be reading the second book or third book. The author didn’t make me fall in love with the love interest the Mfc falls for, he was a back story character with no conviction or deep emotional connection. The story started so good and I ended the story disgusted, disappointed, and disinterested in reading anything else by this author.
