About this listen
His magic will raise the dead.
Seven bodies have washed ashore in Florida, and one of the drowned is Chango, the voodoo sorcerer whose leather pouch holds a child's severed finger.
The sorcerer and his six followers have been buried in a mass grave. And prayers have been spoken to exorcise their unholy powers. But Chango's spirit still prowls the moonlit beaches, taking victim after victim...leaving them cannibalized and dismembered.
But what the police don't know is that the bodies are being used in an unspeakable ritual to resurrect the dead.
And, come morning, we will face the shocking horror of voodoo dawn.

A Haitian immigrant and his grandson come across seven dead bodies along the Florida beach where they are using a metal detector. The grandfather, Silvio, immediately recognizes the artifacts that have washed up on the beach as belonging to Chango and he knows what he must do: behead the corpse before it comes back to life.
Meanwhile, three couples from NYC are on vacation, staying at a cottage owned by an Anthropologist knowledgeable in Voodoo. The horrors that happen are truly terrifying and the author has done a good job in building up the tension.
The narrator did a good job with pacing and kept the story moving at a fast pace, which was perfect for this book. If you are looking for very different type of zombie, check out this book. You won't be disappointed!
