About this listen

On Mars, Jason had stumbled across the escape pod to a 3,500-year-old derelict spacecraft. The AI for the ship then informed Jason that due to him having some traces of alien DNA, he was now the Captain of a massive alien Starship. That 'should' have been good news.

Except that most of the Mars and Earth government agencies had different ideas about the alien ship.

And the ships AI, having been derelict for centuries... It now has some issues...

But the real problem was that Jason's DNA had an additional trait that shouldn't be there... The last time anyone had one of the forbidden DNA traits, it started the war that left the ship derelict. Maybe the only way to fight the aliens... It is to become something from their nightmares...

Very easygoing and rational behavior. Very little sensationalism.

just a fun, enjoyable SF adventure with likeable characters. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

the fact that an AI was used to read the text. minimal voice inflection mispronounced words.

I really disliked this book. it started off okay but rapidly deteriorated into almost middle school dialogue and plot line. it's the first book that I've never finished out of the hundreds of books that I have purchased from Amazon.

Virtual Voice - Not Realisric

Not enough emotion in narrative Storyline is okay. Won’t buy any books with virtual narration., need realist emotion.

One chapter and done

Yhe artificial voice was a great distraction and bad story line was too much. Glad I didn't pay or waste a credit.

the story oh god

I am a fiction fan. but come on. right in the very beginning. the character has a history that caused death and destruction. they have a hidden gene they don't know about. let's not tell them. fine. let leave them alone and move on. nope we will bring them along anyway.

yeah let's bring this unstable nuke we don't really need into the battle and nothing bad will happen. just bad writing. I didn't pay this book and I stopped listening right there and returned it. that made no sense at all.

the ai narrator is whatever. sounds like many of the other readers. idk
