About this listen
Twelve thousand years in the future, on a planet far, far away, a country boy named Tulzik Ambroz tracks the man who killed his sister Vika, following him across the poisonous crater that is all that remains of the planet's starport, into the great city of Ragbaan. Ragbaan - site of the planet's original settlement, heart of a civilization that has repeatedly risen to astonishing heights of power and technological prowess, only to fall, every time, back into barbarism. How can Tulzik find his quarry in an anarchic city of three million souls, where the technology of the ancients is considered magic?

Story
The Wizard Lord's duty is to keep the world in its delicate balance. He must govern lightly to protect his domain from power-hungry interlopers, such as certain wizards who previously fought to rule the world…but if the Wizard Lord himself strays from the way of the just, then it is up to the Chosen to intercede. Breaker, a young man of ambition, has taken the mantle of Swordsman. Never did he realize that he would be called to duty so quickly, or that the balance of power in his world would be so precarious. He had a duty to perform. A world to save. Why does he still have doubts?

The narration, the characters, the fabulous imaginative world. as the story went on it got better and better.
What did you like best about this story?
Everything! I thought at first how can this story be different from the zillion other revenge based story lines, well, its totally unique all the way through.
Which scene was your favorite?
Every scene with the crested creature in it. The description of what it looked like, its mysterious ways, and the narrators interpretation of its voice made every scene with it totally
engulfing.

The story was exciting and suspenseful. The world was wonderfully imaginative. Character development was very well done. I truly enjoyed following this adventure. It's Scifi and high fantasy rolled into one!
The narration was fabulous!!! I loved the voice of the crested creature!! It was so cool.
All the characters voices were done well and easy to tell apart.

Great Adventure!
Any additional comments?
I felt that this story came alive as I listened and I was compelled to keep listening! The narrator, Paul Licameli was extremely connected to the story and helped to distinguish the characters well so I could follow who was speaking. His approach to the humor and the angst of the protagonist was spot on! The author's great story was complimented perfectly with the narration!

Pure Fantasy
Any additional comments?
Vika's Avenger is a fascinating, well thought out civilization on Tulzik's quest for revenge. The how and why of his sister's death and the question of culpability leave the reader guessing up to the very end. The narrator gave life to the different characters.
