Publisher's summary

I've been asleep for the past ten years.

The horror of waking up from the best dream ever and remembering you're a monster is indescribable. My soul is screaming for mercy, for forgiveness, for redemption…but I know I'll never get it.

I'm going to Hell for everything I've done. The only thing I can do now is take as many monsters with me as I can.

My list is almost complete. There's one more name to go, and it's the hardest job I've ever done.

I'm on my way to Castlemaine—a bizarre little town hidden between Wildwood Canyon and the Badlands of California. Strange things lurk in Castlemaine. It's the Bermuda Triangle of the United States—a place of weird old magic, odd people, and vicious creatures like me. Nobody ever wants to go there because they might not ever come back. But I've got no choice.

I'm going to take out the man who taught me to kill.

This author writes the best stories I have ever read. This story is no different.

This series is a bit darker than others by this author, but excellent writing nonetheless.

Chloe is the badass character that women are going to love. This story has a bit less steaminess in it than other series but still some nsfw language 😄

I deeply enjoy the world created for Chloe and the creative take on a mythology less known to muggles. The premise of this series is just really impressive.

I stumbled on this author by accident and it was such a happy one!! Speaking to all of Lauretta’s series, I love the female leads who each have a very personal story of societal or family trauma that only women can relate to.

I mean Chloe’s story is slightly less relatable but when she works, she puts herself into situations that again, only women can relate to.

4 and a half

Like the other books I've read by this author, the story is original with unique and engaging characters. I fine myself intrigued by the plot and I'm curious to see how things develop.

Huh

What on earth is this about. It is the most pointless endless ADHD bipolar story I’ve ever tried to read. Seriously I couldn’t stay in it. Every time I tried the FC was crying or talking to her goose. A goose. I am probably not the correct person for this. It reads very very YA as in maybe 12-14 year olds would enjoy it.
