Slow starter

the book takes a while to get started but it does finish well, just have to stick with it.

Movie was better, still an entertaining book.

I have never said this before but I think I enjoyed the movie better than the book. This narration still kept me entertained but it was lacking in an area I can't put my finger on.

Challenging as a Movie and also as a Novelization

Prior to reading about this international graphic series, I had never heard or seen “Valerian”. Prior to seeing the movie I wanted to listen to this novelization first. The storyline is just OK, as it is simplistic and to some extent very predictable.
The reader and voice performance was very good and I finished this audiobook in a day and a half. My overall rating was a four stars only because of the reader.

Great fun story

The characters are simple but interesting. The evolution of the story is great with a solid basis. A fun scifi book
