I couldn't have found a more perfect book to connect the elements of mindfulness and the path back to my own life and even my family story. While this is essentially Zen Buddhism for beginners, it's so much more than that.


A worthy listen for those interested in mental health and well-being, veteran Buddhists for it's unique perspective, and of course those who are new to Buddhism or are simply curious about it.


My partner repeatedly asked to turn on the book when we found quiet moments. We inevitably paused over and over again to discuss how the story of the giants or the need for validation cookies or any of the parables and ideas applied to ourselves and our relationship. Great stuff.


I'm buying the hardback as Christmas gifts for my poor unsuspecting friends and family. It's truly a gift.
