About this listen

Secret baby meets enemies-to-lovers in this sizzling sports romance.

I never planned on seeing Grayson Kilpatrick again, for a few reasons:

1. I didn't have a way to get in touch with him.

2. He'd been recruited to play football for Ohio.

3. He pretended he didn't know me when I tried to tell him I was pregnant.

I have built my life around a new set of goals that I determined as soon as I had my son. My parents have helped out while I've been at school. I've had a plan...and now, I'm moving forward.

...until Grayson Kilpatrick makes a reappearance and upends all my plans. Again.

Loved this story except…

I love sports romance when it’s done right. This one check all the boxes except, there’s no epilogue and the ending was rushed. This is my only complaint. Excellent performance and love to hear from this dual again. Highly recommend!

Really good

This was a very good book. I really enjoyed the story and it came off very realistic. I wish there had been more involvement between the guy and his friends, as well as some closure between the issues between him and his sister, because that never seem to be resolved. Also in the epilogue the ridiculous stuff about rebels, being some kind of racist mascot, and all the Indian team names was stupid. The name rebels has nothing to do with racism just like any of the Indian names have nothing to do with racism. I’ve always found it funny that the same people they want to call for more diversity in sports are the same people that are calling for, any depiction of Native Americans or anything like that to be erased from sports. It is sports and not everything needs to be political. So I really did not enjoy that. It really left a sour taste in my mouth. But I really enjoyed this book and I really am looking forward to checking out more from this author.

Not great...

Ugh....did not enjoy this book but forced myself through it to get to the others. The main female character infuriated me. Could not stand her "on again, off again" back and forth. But I have enjoyed the overall series. Love the main male character though! Stand up guy from the start!

Not a re-read

Way too much inner dialogue/repeat whining. Frustrating to keep reading the same inner dialogue & direct communication is cut off for it. Narrators did good, although the female frequently performed the male’s lines. The epilogue is about another character in the book & various friends’ boyfriends/hookups that readers could care less about. Political issues are also thrown in. These are college-age females yet communicate like they’re in middle school. It’s an adult content book, but the writing sounds so immature at times. This story had so much potential. Disappointed.

Didn't love this one

I'm pretty sure that I wasn't a fan of this book. I didn't really enjoy the plot, which is odd to me because the tropes are some of my favorites. I couldn't stand the fmc, Tiffany, she was overly angry about the situation and it just made her come off as immature, petulant and dramatic, when she really didn't need to be. The only obstacle of their current relationship was Tiffany herself, and the reason for the end to their previous relationship, to me, was never resolved. Overall, the whole story was just kind of flat to me. I did like...the mmc (I can't even remember his name, it's not even been 3 hours since I finished the book!) and mostly enjoyed their son Ben, but even he read as a background character to me, when he probably shouldn't have.

I did this book by audio, and while I enjoyed the male parts, the female narrator made audible breaths constantly, and it was annoying to listen to.

Lastly, I wish authors would quit writing "epilogues" about side characters. Just call it a sneak peak into your next book.
