About this listen

Chance didn't expect to start his day in the back of a police cruiser. Lucky for him, the man behind the wheel is Chance's best friend and onetime lover, Jaxon.

Jaxon wants Chance. He has since the first moment he set eyes on the sexy librarian. Unfortunately, Chance always has bullshit going on, standing in their way. Most men would consider Chance more trouble than he's worth - not Jaxon. He can't get enough of Chance's constant drama. When Chance's life spirals out of control - the way Chance's life always seems to do - Jaxon rushes to the rescue, only to end up screwing things up...again.

These two independent souls might drive each other mad, but there's no denying their love or the fiery hot passion brewing between them. If only Chance could stop lying to Jax, maybe they'd stand a chance.

Undone is a short introduction to Charity Parkerson's new M/M series, Hooked.

Good narration. Decent sort story.

Felt more like an interlude than a story, but it was well written. Worth the listen.

Ok story. Bad narration.

Well-worn story line/characters but not badly done. the story moves along quickly enough without any major offenses, so I can forgive the lack of imagination.

I can't get over the narration though. if you're going to read romantic or erotic language, don't sound so damn bored! Couldn't finish the audiobook, but I'll finish it on my Kindle. Not worth the $2 I paid for the audiobook.

hard to pack enough of quality into a short story

the story was ok. it hit all the key points- angst, shame, perceived obstacle, lust and brevity.

Loved it.

I've recently become a fan of Charity Parkerson and Hollie Jackson. I really loved this book and I think the narration was spot on.

Great intro to what could be another great series!

What did you love best about Undone?

Other than a new series with new characters? The hints of characters/places from previous books were fun. I always enjoy the way Charity is able to bring so much to a character is such a short venue.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Chance is just too darn cute! I love the way he can play Jackson into doing what he needs him to do.

What does Hollie Jackson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

With so many men introduced into the beginning of a series that features m/m romance, Hollie does an awesome job of giving each man their own voice. You can tell who is speaking at anyone time easily.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed out loud several times.

Any additional comments?

Any book written by Charity Parkerson and narrated by Hollie Jackson is always an instant purchase for me.

Meh. I won't read the rest

I never felt connected to the characters in this book. There wasn't enough there to care about. It was more about the sex than the story and that just doesn't do it for me. I want to care about the people I'm reading about. This series sounds like a miss for me.

Female narrator for m/m romance didnt work for me

Nothing against Hollie Jackson's voice and narrative style, which would be fine if this story was from a female perspective ... but for an m/m romance, she didn't fit as the narrator.

I understand that this is the first story in the Hooked series, but unfortunately, it didn't hook me. I did like some scenes and can still remember this story even though it's been a couple months since I first listened to it. However, there wasn't enough character development or there's just something missing for me.

I like that I had Whispersync since this book was available in Kindle Unlimited and the audio is included in the Romance Package. After listening, I tried reading the second half of the ebook and that bumped my enjoyment and rating of the story up to 3 stars. I would recommend the book over the audio version.
