About this listen
In the hands of Jim Norton and Marcella Riordan, experienced and stimulating Joycean readers, and carefully directed by Roger Marsh, Ulysses becomes accessible as never before. It is entertaining, immediate, funny, and rich in classical, philosophical, and musical allusion.
This is the second volume of James Joyce's Ulysses. To hear the entire epic day in the lives of Stephen Dedalus and Leopold Bloom, don't forget to listen to Volume 1 and Volume 3.(P)2004 NAXOS AudioBooks Ltd.Critic reviews
"As ambitious and rewarding an audio production as any that exists, an audio experience that truly deserves to be cherished....Readers of Ulysses have long been encouraged to read out loud the more difficult sections for added comprehension and enjoyment of the language. Now, thanks to Naxos, the entire book is available in a performance to savor. It is safe to say that anyone wanting to experience the preeminent work of modern fiction has in this package the perfect audio companion." (AudioFile)

Ulysses is Trying
Said to be the best book of the 20th century. Certainly is was groundbreaking. Just a touch listen. Lot of work. But worth it.

Outstanding!
This audio version was the only way I got through this challenging book, which was assigned for a graduate-level literature course. The reader was very entertaining, and he definitely helped with interpretation and comprehension.

But don't buy this version, buy the full one.
This is episodes 4-15 but for members buying with credits, there's a full version of the whole book with the same narrators for the same 1 credit. I can't see why anybody would want to do as I did and spend a credit on a partial version when you can have the whole thing instead.

Hard to hear and too loud
There is singing in this which is so loud it is painful. Then reader is occasionally very soft and fast and so difficult to hear and understand. I have tried many times to listen and never successfully made it through
