About this listen

I’m in love with a villain. Ice-cold smile, shiny collection of scalpels, and he’s ravenous to use them on me.

Joke's on you, mad scientist. I've been trying to cut this sickness out of me since forever. Not all scars are in a place that you can see.

In your frigid alien embrace, I've found myself, so why the hesitation in those pretty silver eyes? You’re the big bad conqueror. I’m just an ordinary human. Right? Put me in your maze. Let the experiments begin...

Contains unique alien shifters, fierce passion, and fated mates who defy everything to be together! Although it continues plot lines from the previous novels, this complete, self-contained, epic happily-ever-after can be listened to as a stand-alone.

Trigger warning: Suicide, self-harm, medical trauma

Ukuri is now the best!

This is my second favorite in the series. Ukuri's dry humor really makes it. I will admit I did not like Noemi at first, she just seemed a little ho-hum at first but she quickly grew on me. I love how their relationship develops so differently than the others. Ukuri respects her insight and her straight forwardness.

It’s time to root for the Villain.

First. I’m 100% obsessed with this series, but I didn’t think I’d like Ukuri.
Moreover, I didn’t think I would enjoy this book as much as I savored Atana. While Atana is an unhinged guy with nothing to lose, Ukuri KNOWS he’s a bad guy. Right or wrong, it’s all for science after all.
“What do you want, a medal?”
Ukuri: “Yeah, that would be great, make sure you can read it from a distance.” Bwahahaha
This book had me grinning with happiness for a guy I hated in the first book. I always suspected that Ukuri was the “I’ll destroy the world to save you” guy instead of the other way around.
This proves it and he’s really amazing. I added this book to my very short list of favorites.
Thank you for writing it! Please make more so I can throw more of my hard-earned adult money at you!

Fabulous Series

I absolutely love the world Starla Night has created. This is the 5th book in the series. I highly recommend listening to them in order, but it is not necessary. The narrators did a fantastic job. Robert Hatchet really hit it out of the park with his Ukuri reading. He nailed it. Willa Jaymes portrayal of Naomi was spot on. Great jobs guys. Welcome to the world of the Blades. Ukuri is a blade/scientist. All he is concerned with is the science. He wants to dissect and study the lessors (or anything else he can study) and return his linage to the gene pool. That is his life now. When Naomi ship is attacked she is put in an escape pod and ends up on his ship. Lusteal infected humans cause havoc on the arrisan race and Ukuri is trying to find cure all to neutralize the effects on his race. I am skipping so much of what’s in the book but it’s a great listen. Definitely recommend.

Exciting, suspenseful, steamy & emotional

I must admit that I had doubts about Ukuri when I started. I mean, how could I not? After enjoying the previous books in the series he was a character I knew and he hadn't exactly presented himself as even likable, never mind swoon worthy. I adore bad boys and morally gray is one of my favorite colors, but an overzealous scientist with an untamed urge to make you his latest, greatest experiment just doesn't set my heart aflame... BUT I am beyond pleased to say I was VERY, very wrong. In fact, Ukuri is quite swoon worthy, kind of charming, surprisingly sweet, undeniable clever and well pretty hot! Lol All kidding aside, I thought this book was really amazing. It was exciting and suspenseful, dramatic and emotional, and heart melting and steamy. Noemi is truly a perfect match for him and as with all the heroines in this series, she makes your heart ache for her even as it fills with awe over how incredibly awesome, she is. As far as the overarching storyline goes, we get some interesting twists and lots and LOTS of developments that have left me filled with a potent blend of anticipation and anxiety about what will happen in the next and final book. I just know that it is truly going to be EPIC! Honestly, I can't wait but I don't want to say goodbye either. The narrators give great performances that bring the characters and story to life vividly, and lets you easily become fully immersed and invested in it all.
