Publisher's summary

In a life of diamond bracelets and country clubs, I’m the perfect daughter. I get all the right grades, volunteer at all the right organizations, apply to all the right colleges.

And I hate every second of it. At the rate my life is playing out, under the strict rule of my parents, politicians and housewives will be my future.

Until I meet Harry.

Harry’s a singer in a rock band with a voice so beautiful, that I actually feel hypnotized. Doesn’t hurt that he’s hot either, and with the kind, flirty personality to match, it’s the perfect trifecta. And even better, he sees the me I want to be. He sees me as the girl who can break free of the life she’s trapped in, who can control her own future.

The only problem? He knows me as Stella, my fun, carefree alter ego - so drastically different from Destelle, the girl who is trapped in the life her parents rule.

But as we get closer, I realize Harry’s keeping a secret of his own, something related to the dark past that he’s trying to move on from, and when I find out, everything we’ve built could come crashing down.

This is the fifth book in the Love in Fenton County Series, but can be listened to as a stand-alone. Check out this Opposites Attract + Hidden Identities Romance today!

Sweet, Emotional, and Compelling

This book was exciting and emotionally compelling from the start. I love the idea of a character needing to escape who they are, and how they find themselves in that alter ego. It's a very sweet romance as well (I do always love a Rockstar romance) and the characters just click. You want to root for both of them in the end!

pretty in pink the other way around!

This really reminded me a bit like Pretty in pink only with the girl being the rich one. please don't read to much into that though - it's definitely not exact, it just has that feel of Pretty in Pink. I loved this story I really enjoyed how we got to hear the couple actually be together for a major portion of the story until waiting until the end for them to be together. so many times we don't get that and I enjoy that most about love stories. I will say that the writer makes the main character talk way to much in her own thoughts, I wished there was more dialog between characters and less narrative thought. I also thought there was more emphasis on Harry's past being so wrong compared to Distelle's transgressions against her parents and her own self. I also NEED to point out to audible that the narration of the guys part- mostly Harry is not good, no disrespect to the narrator after all it isn't easy to make a girl do a guys voice but it's hard to imagine the character when he sounds like a teenage boy going through puberty. I wish audible would have 2 readers, one for the girl and one for the guys part - and that really goes for all books!!!

Always a good read

Another easy to listen to book by Sarah Sutton. Of course there’s a little bit of cheesy hallmark-ness to it. But it’s nice to know what to expect. It was another cute story.

I really liked the fact that Distelle had an alter ego.

The cliche happily ever after ending as always. I really love it but I would love it even more if when Stella had the argument with Harry about his past crime that she wouldn’t go back to him. That she ghosted him completely. That would be more tragic and enjoyable.
