About this listen

The crucial sequel to the New York Times best-selling The Secret History of Twin Peaks, this audiobook bridges the two series and takes you deeper into the mysteries raised by the new series.

The return of Twin Peaks is one of the most anticipated events in the history of television. The subject of endless speculation, shrouded in mystery, fans will flock to see Mark Frost and David Lynch's inimitable vision once again grace the screen. Featuring all the characters we know and love from the first series as well as a pantheon of high-powered actors in new roles, the show will be endlessly debated, discussed, and dissected.

While The Secret History of Twin Peaks served to analyze the mysteries of the town and place the unexplained phenomena that unfolded there into a vastly layered, wide-ranging history, Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier tells us what happened to key characters in the 25 years between the events of the first series and the second, offering details and insights fans will clamor for. The audiobook also adds context and commentary to the strange and cosmic happenings of the new series. For fans around the world begging for more, Mark Frost's final thoughts, as expressed in this audiobook, will be required listening.

Must Read for Twin Peaks fans.

If you are a Twin Peaks fan struggling with the end of the series again, this book is perfect for you. It beautifully connects the original series with last summer's revival and even solves a mystery or two along the way. A must read for all Peaks fans.

Loved it!

A must read (listen) after watching Twin Peaks: The Return. Great information about the lives of characters from the original series and new characters from The Return.

Tolerable

This post-show follow-up to the Secret History still has some of the flaws of its predecessor - too many verbose and fanfic-y biographies of characters - but at least it's shorter, and the final chapters are rather beautiful, meshing well with the baffling and bittersweet ending of Season 3.

The book does answer a couple of questions raised by the TV series, so if you like your Lynchian enigmas pure and unsullied, stay away.

Ties lots of stuff together

of course the Twin Peaks story is based in truth and of course it goes right back to Lewis and Clark.

Gold Dust

If you love Twin Peaks, as a whole, you will love this book. I’m not sure why anyone else would *want* to read it...it’s a weird place to jump in.
For 25 years, there was little added to the official story...and it was lonely, quiet and confusing.
And now, it‘s as though each missing piece of the puzzle, has been made of other pieces, all along.
There’s so little joy to be discovered...why not embrace a mystery at every chance you get?

Answers some questions. Or adds more...

This is Tammy's rational point of view plus background on some characters. I loved it

great delivery

great read, and very important before season 3. a lot of the book is obviously frosts idea of twin peaks, lacking some lyncheanness. still, it is very fascinating to delve into 25 years of twin peaks and these residents in just 3 hours. mind blowing.

A satisfying coda

The Final Dossier doesn’t give all the answers, but provides strong arguments and supporting evidence for things left unanswered and unsaid in the latest season of Twin Peaks. A must for any fans.
