Instant Best Seller

“This is seriously good. I mean - seriously.” (Lee Child, number one New York Times best-selling author of Past Tense)

“Take my word for it, James Reece is one rowdy motherf***er. Get ready!” (Chris Pratt, star of The Terminal List, coming to Amazon Prime)

“A powerful, thoughtful, realistic, at times terrifying thriller that I could not put down. A terrific addition to the genre, Jack Carr and his alter-ego protagonist, James Reece, continue to blow me away.” (Mark Greaney, number-one New York Times best-selling author of Mission Critical)

True Believer, the highly anticipated new thriller from Jack Carr, is one of this year’s hottest thrillers, and a perfect fit for fans of Vince Flynn, Brad Thor, and Daniel Silva.” (The Real Book Spy)

In acclaimed author Jack Carr’s follow-up to The Terminal List, former Navy SEAL James Reece’s skill, cunning, and heroism put the US government back in his debt and set him on another path of revenge.

When a string of horrific terrorist attacks plagues the Western world during the holiday season, the broader markets fall into a tailspin. The attacks are being coordinated by a shadowy former Iraqi commando who has disappeared into Europe’s underground. The United States government has an asset who can turn the Iraqi against his masters: James Reece, the most-wanted domestic terrorist alive.

After avenging the deaths of his family and team members, Reece emerges deep in the wilds of Mozambique, protected by the family of his estranged best friend and former SEAL Team member. When a series of events uncovers his whereabouts, the CIA recruits him, using a Presidential pardon for Reece and immunity for the friends who helped him in his mission of vengeance.

Now a reluctant tool of the United States government, Reece travels the globe, targeting terrorist leaders and unraveling a geopolitical conspiracy that exposes a traitorous CIA officer and uncovers a sinister assassination plot with worldwide repercussions.

A high-intensity roller-coaster ride, True Believer explodes with action and authenticity that cements Jack Carr as the new leader in political thrillers.

And, we are off...

Jack Carr has given us an awesome new hero to follow. Like any great thriller writer, there are going to be ups and downs along the way. The real mark if success is at the end when you ask yourself “will I get the next book?” The answer is a resounding YES!!

Lots of flashbacks

Excellent naration. Sometimes story was diluted by various flashbacks to previous actions. A few less flashbacks would have been good

Can't wait for Book 3

After Book 1 I think I expected instant action but this one started out like some Clancy novels, jumping from character to character. But then,,,, it grabbed me and I can't wait for the next book. Once I got a grasp on who did what to whom I enjoyed every minute of the book. Each part of the story was engrossing in its own way as it progressed. Loved the accompanying education on the Africa portion and military relationships as they developed, some sadly ending. A little of Reece evolves with each story and I hope Carr keeps his pen or computer in motion for many books to come. I'm a fan!

Great Book

I found myself sitting in the parking garage and the driveway trying to stop listening. Walked into work late many times thanks to Jack Carr. Worth every minute listening.

Jack Carr delivers #2 in strong fashion.

Another great book by Jack Carr. James Reese is emerging as another determined American character to follow around the globe as he continues to hunt those wishing to do the country harm! (when do we get #3? I'm hanging......)

Fantastic

I normally don’t read fiction at all. I prefer military history or non-fiction. But I decided to try The Terminal List on the recommendation of a friend. It was fantastic. True Believer is even better. I would say much much better. Just a phenomenal story, great writing, and I thought the narrator did a great job. I cannot wait for the next one.

Great book in the series

Can’t go wrong with this one. A must read and/or listen. Takes me back to my early teens of reading Tom Clancy (huge life impact).

Nonstop thriller

With twists and turns another hero emerges in the hero such as Mitch Rapp and Scott Horvath. Details are amazing
