About this listen

From number-one New York Times best-selling author Nicholas Sparks comes a love story that explores the deepest mysteries of all, those of the heart.

Jeremy Marsh is the ultimate young New Yorker. He's also an expert on debunking the supernatural. When he receives a letter from Boone Creek, North Carolina, about ghostly lights appearing in a cemetery, he can't resist driving down to investigate.

Here, in this tightly knit community, Lexie Darnell runs the town's library. Disappointed by past relationships, she is sure of one thing: her future is in Boone Creek, close to all the people she loves. From the moment Jeremy sets eyes on Lexie, he is intrigued. And Lexie, while hesitating to trust this outsider, finds herself thinking of him more than she cares to admit.

Now, if they are to be together, Jeremy Marsh must do something he's never done before: take a giant leap of faith. A story about taking chances and following your heart, True Believer will make you, too, believe in the miracle of love.

Absolutely beautiful

This is absolutely beautiful and I'm not just saying this because I am a huge Nicholas Sparks fan but this book has it's own magical feel to it. Makes you believe that you can find magic in everything. Just perfect.

Not one of my favorites

I haven't read a Nicholas Sparks book in several years, and I picked the wrong one to start back on. I didn't connect with any of these characters. It was missing the emotional ride that you expect with his books.

Lexie Darnell returned home to Boone Creek, North Carolina after a failed relationship and vows she will stay there with her psychic grandmother.

Jeremy Marsh is a New York City journalist that specializes in debunking the supernatural. He comes to Boone Creek to uncover the truth about ghost sightings and falls for the librarian, Lexie.

Music

The music at the end, or beginning of chapters were very distracting, unnecessary and too loud.

Hard to hang in

I don’t know why but I had a tough time sticking with this story. I usually love Nicks work. The music was interesting but too much!! Some points it went on for too long.

Good Book

This is a good book but not nearly as good as all of the rest he has written. I would still recommend this book. This is a very realistic fiction type book. Very believable.

Listened on the road

I am retired now, but used to drive long distances for my work. I remember I was so thrilled to have a book from Audible to read while driving. This book kept me interested and the narrator did the voices perfectly. It got me started in reading a lot of books by Nicholas Sparks.

WORST BOOK I HAVE READ BY SPARKS.

I did not love it. I thought narration was terrible and the music irritating, annoying.
