Great bargain

I gave this audiobook 5 stars across-the-board because it was very well read, I love this story, and it was way more affordable than most of the other treasure Island audio books.

So much fun to listen to!

This was a treat, I love Gabriel Woolf, who knew he could move from the evil father Karamozov to Long John Silver, to an innocent youthful protagonist and be so perfectly able to bring them all to life! The story is wonderful and just as exciting as it was when I read it 40 years ago. Makes you want to revisit all of the classics.

the second half was pretty good but the narrator is constantly making noises like he's swallowing and breathing. get that man a glass of water.

Story almost ruined by sniffling reader

This is a great story, but I'm also sorry I didn't purchase the other version since this narrator obviously had a cold. The sniffling and throat clearing are very distracting, not to mention the accent sounds fake, and the reader seems to stumble over his words from time to time. Very disappointing.

Fantastic story, unprofessional recording

I am enjoying the story despite the distracting throat clearing and congestion problems that were recorded and not edited out. I wish I had purchased the reading by Alfred Molina instead.
