Torment -- A great second chance
C.M. Seabrook wrote an emotional second chance love story that has many facets. Zee is recovering addict who is bouncing back from rock bottom. Quinn is the girl who always loved him from childhood. I'm not a fan of guys who run away when things get rough, but Zee needed to grow up. The story has some unexpected twists.The ending was wonderful!
The narration on this book was great, but I didn't think they sounded the ages of Quinn and Zee. Gunnar Qualen has a Dennis Quaid like voice, which is very smooth and rich. Jenna St. Claire didn't sound like she was in her early twenties, but she is also really good. The narrators have great chemistry, and express fitting emotions, they just didn't sound like they are in their early twenties. I would definitely listen to more books by this author and narrators.

Torment is about a boy who not only experienced the tragic loss of someone he loved at young age but also endured the abuse of a parent. It’s about a boy who grows into a broken man that doesn’t believe he’s worthy of anyone’s love. Zee has been running from his past and burying his sorrows in alcohol and drugs. Finally hitting rock bottom Zee decides it’s time for a change. This decision has him going back to his hometown to face the people he’s hurt and try to right the wrongs of his past.
Quinn has loved Zee ever since they were children. Nothing ever happened between the two growing up because Zee was her brother’s best friend. That was until one night they shared a kiss and then Zee disappeared. Six years later and now Zee’s back in town. Quinn is angry with him but still loves him. Seeing past the facade Zee puts on makes Quinn realize just how much pain he’s in. Now she’s determined to get him to open up to her and show that he is worthy of love. Also to show him that he doesn’t need to carry his burdens alone.
I really enjoyed Quinn and Zee’s story and can’t wait for the next book.

Magnificent!!
This is my first book by this author. I have to say it’s Freaking Amazing!!! I wasn’t sure what I was expecting but this story has the sparks flying and my interest. I fell in love with the characters and storyline. I definitely want more of this series. I am definitely starting the next book in the series right away. The story has intrigue, adventure, heartbreak, redemption, romance, forgiveness and sex. This book is worth the credit!
Gunnar Qualen and Jenna St. Claire are Fan-freaking-tastic! ❤️.
They bring the story to life. They do a Magnificent job with the characters and voices of each character making it easy to distinguish between the characters. They also put a lot of emotion and feelings into the story which I can’t do by just reading the book. They are extremely entertaining narrators and are sexy as sin together when narrating. Second chance romance with all the feels!
Zee St. James and Quinn Savage have a long history together. Quinn has always been in love with Zee, but he’s her brothers best friend therefore completely off limits. When he leaves Quinn desperately tries to move on, but can’t seem let feelings go. Now it’s six years later and Zee is back. Everything is different. They’re different. Secrets that have surfaced have changed the game, but the feelings are still the same.
This book was so freaking good! When C. M. Seabrook announced a spinoff from the Wild Irish series I was really looking forward to Zee’s story and I was not disappointed. I loved Zee! He’s not just your stereotypical hero. There so many layers to him. He’s been through so much pain and closes him self off to being loved. I wanted to hug him and then bang him. Quinn was great! He girl always knew what she was feeling was true and went with it. The way she loves Zee and wants to peel back his layers and show him he’s worthy of love made my heart happy. I love a good second chance romance and this story and couple made me feel everything right along with them and also root for them the whole time. Their story is beautiful even when it hurts.
Narration by Gunnar Qualen and Jenna St. Claire was great. They’re both new to me narrators, but quickly won me over. They brought Zee and Jenna to life effortlessly and injecting he perfect amount of passion this story needs. 5 Stars.

Quinn and Zee!
Quinn has been in love with her brother’s best friend Zee for years even after he left town six years with no explanation and no contact.
Bass guitarist Zee has completed rehab and returned home. He needs to make amends for the mistakes in his past and that includes Quinn. Although she knows it will only end in heartbreak once again she can’t stay away from him but will the secrets he holds destroy his relationships with the only people he has ever cared about?
This is an emotional story full of drama and angst and a great start to a new series. Zee is damaged by his past and Quinn sees the man he is not the mistakes he has made. The emotions and nuances of the narrators made it feel like you were feeling what the characters were feeling. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author.

Great Book!!
I’m new to this author as well as the narrators, what a great combination.
I loved this story. The characters are genuine and storyline kept me intrigued.
This is book 1 in this series and I’m super excited to read/listen to book 2.
The narration was amazing and sexy. I would definitely recommend this book.

Awesome Story
Where to I begin to say how good this book is? C.M Seabrook, you have written a brilliant book that I couldn’t stop listening to. Gunnar Qualen and Jenna St Claire really made it come to life. I believe it was made for you guys! Would recommend to everyone!!

Impossible not to fall in love
Stories with character history are one of the things I love to listen to. Zee St. James and Quinn Savage have known each other forever. Zee is Quinn's brother's best friend and Quinn's childhood love. When Zee leaves, Quinn tries to move on, but in her heart, she knows he is the one. When he returns home, 6 years later, things have changed, secrets are bared and life may never be the same. Will there be forgiveness and second chances? A spinoff of the amazing Wild Irish Trilogy, this first book in the Savages and Saints series delivers a cast of characters that are interesting, full of love, friendship and emotional baggage that leave you wanting to get to know better! CM Seabrook always writes with tortuous passion and such well developed plots and characters, I feel like I am there, living the story with them. Zee and Quinn are a couple that is easy to cheer for, cry for and love. Can't wait for book 2!
I always enjoy narrations by Gunnar Qualen and Jenna St. Claire. They perform a duet with ease and flawlessness bringing the story to life with passion and all the feels.

loved this story
The narration made this story come to life. It is a great second chance romance. Quinn has been in love with the town bad boy her whole life, Zee ran off several years earlier. She has finally put him behind her and moved on with her life. Or so she thought. He literally falls into her bed. This story will leave you with a smile on your face.
C.M. Seabrook is always one of my go to authors. I can always read or listen to her books over and over.
