Publisher's summary

The truth can be as deadly as any weapon.

Jaymee Ballard trusted only one person in Roselea, Mississippi with the secret of her lost daughter. When that person is brutally murdered, it leaves her with heartbreak and a slew of unanswered questions. The eerie similarity to a murder of one of Jaymee's close friends years ago causes her to realize her past has come back to haunt her and may cost her own life.

Years of deception and abuse leave Jaymee with few options and fewer allies. She turns to the widower of her friend - a man struggling with his own demons - to help her find her daughter and identify the killer before he strikes again.

Before all evidence, the truth - and Jaymee's daughter - are lost.

Tin God is an action packed romantic suspense/psychological thriller featuring a strong woman determined to find a demented serial killer and find justice for her child.

harlequin romance, trailer version

You can find every southern stereotype you desire right in this book. I only finished listening to it because I was already on the interstate and had 10 hours in front of me.

The characters, especially how she took her time to develop them..

I have listened to several of Stacy‘s books. This by far was the most well written and my favorite. I would love to see this book made into a movie I think the setting in the south with the heat and the antebellum mansions would make a wonderful movie, and the characters were so well-developed.

are there really women this dumb?

omg, I can't handle the stupidity of the main character Jamie. I'm sure the author thinks she is strong and independent, but she grated on my nerves. Totally unrealistic and often plain dumb.

Exciting Murder Mystery! Too good to put down!

What made the experience of listening to Tin God the most enjoyable?

The story is outstanding! This is a novel that's impossible to put down. It's gripping right from the start and keeps the reader thinking trying to figure out who the murder is!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Tin God?

I think the revelations about Jaymee's past are intriguing. I can't list too many memorable moments without giving away some of the exciting plot twists in the story, but I can guarantee there are MANY great moments!

Have you listened to any of Johanna Fairview’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I haven't listened to Johanna Fairview before, but I really enjoyed her narration in Tin God. Her delivery was even with a good flow. She has a bit of a husky/southern accent which added character to the dialogue. I found her very easy to listen to and enjoyed the audio version as much as I enjoyed reading this in paperback.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Sometimes a small town can hide big secrets.

Any additional comments?

Sometimes a small town can hide big secrets, and taking on one of their "golden boys" can be a dangerous move. Jaymee, however, is willing to do whatever it takes to find her stolen daughter and Nick is willing to do the same to avenge his wife's murder. When more people start dying and more children are missing, it's up to Jaymee and Nick to solve the mystery or to die trying ...

This book was incredible from start to finish. The characters really blew me away with their depth and vulnerabilities and strengths. The chemistry, the heartache, the mystery, the suspense, and the surprises made this book impossible to put down.

Jaymee Ballard is a young waitress in a small town. Estranged from her family and abusive father, she works hard in the hopes of saving up enough to right some of the past mistakes in her life- including losing her daughter. Her plans fall apart when people she knows start dying and the secrets of her past can no longer be ignored.

Nick Samuels is a reporter that has buried himself in work over the past few years since his wife's death. Overcome with grief and guilt he hasn't been able to move on. When he receives a cryptic note in the mail reading "I just murdered your wife...again" he packs up and heads to Roselea, Mississippi to see what information he can find on the murderer. What he uncovers is a tangle of corruption and lies that goes much deeper than he could have imagined.

Riveting, exciting, with surprising twists, this is a book that will stick with the reader long after the final chapter.

Sweet southern mystery.

What did you love best about Tin God?
The lead character, Jaymee. Her situation seems hopeless, yet she is determined to do the impossible. Jaymee is strong and independent. We need more heroines like this.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
The mystery is a good one. The outcome is not easy to predict.

Have you listened to any of Johanna Fairview’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
This is the first performance I've ever heard of Johanna Fairview's. I felt she did very well. Her Southern accent felt authentic and not hit-you-over-the-head Southern. Her voice is rich and full of wisdom, and grit when necessary. She seems to thoroughly enjoy herself with the baddies in this book.

Although at first I felt her voice was too old for young Jaymee, I soon realized it was a perfect fit for a heroine who has been through so much life in too short a time. Jaymee is hard edges and cynicism. I feel Johanna captured that.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Yes. I can't elaborate because it would spoil plot points, but I'll put it this way. Jaymee makes a selfless and epic decision that few others would make in her position. It really touched me.

Any additional comments?
Stacy Green is quickly becoming one of my favorite indie authors.

Great story

The story was great. I couldn’t stand the narrator’s voice, though. I had to bump up the speed to make it tolerable. At regular speed it was just too slow, like being mired in mud.
