About this listen
Some family bonds are timeless....
A plane crash in 1976 left a young boy without a father, but 46 years later, when Eddie Rains loses his mother, a letter hidden among her possessions reveals a secret she’d kept to herself all those years.
Driven by hope, Eddie sets out to discover the truth about the man he dearly loved yet barely knew. Aided by strangers he meets along the way, his challenging search turns deadly when one thing becomes crystal clear...he’s not the only one looking.
In their follow-up collaboration to the best-selling Graceless, Stinnett, Cunningham, Sullivan, and Harvey come up with another suspenseful thriller featuring characters from each of their series.
Whether you’re new to these fan-favorites or an old friend along for the ride, you’ll love seeing them band together in this tropical action and adventure thriller.
Charity Styles, former US Army helicopter pilot and special operative for Homeland Security, spends her off time in the Cayman Islands. But when is a government assassin ever off duty? The seven-volume Caribbean thriller series takes the listener on a frightening ride through the darker side of the tropics—the side where the cost of human life doesn't affect the bottom line.
Buck Reilly, a world-renowned archaeologist turned treasure hunter who lost everything and moved to Key West, where he now operates Last Resort Charter and Salvage aboard antique flying boats. Hop on board, hang on tight, and enjoy the ride with the Buck Reilly Caribbean adventure series.
Boone Fischer and Emily Durand, a nomadic duo of divemasters, plunge into danger across different Caribbean islands. Dive into action and adventure with the Deep series.
AJ Bailey and Nora Sommer from Nicholas Harvey’s gripping tropical mysteries set in the beautiful Cayman Islands. The enthralling world of diving meets fast-paced action with these two reluctant heroines in the AJ Bailey Adventure and Nora Sommer Caribbean suspense series.

Loved it!
Another great collaboration novel by these fantastic Tropical Adventure authors! Individually, they are all great authors with great characters in their own books. The idea of combining them all in one story, where you get all of the familiar characters and the writing styles of each author is brilliant! I truly hope they continue to work together in the future. And of course, I hope they continue using Nick Sullivan to narrate! Fantastic!

Great fun
The collaboration of these talented authors works in their latest book. Unlike their first book Graceless, this time they wrote a full fledged novel which better integrated their characters. What makes this book so much better however is the awesome story about a guy searching for what happened to his dad. And really the kindness of strangers willing to help. I’ve read books from each of the authors and it was fun to “see” them work together. I look forward to their next novel.

So Darn Good
I picked up and finished Graceless, the first book in this compilation-style series. After finishing that, I knew how this story would go. I was simultaneously right and wrong. In Timeless, the action stayed in one area instead of hopping around to each of the different islands where each character is from. They also didn’t want to write another novella, and this time went for a full-length novel, which paid off because this was great from beginning to end.
Timeless was one of those books that hooked me right from the start. I realized quickly that it would be a book with two different timelines. The present and a past flashback section. It opens with the flashback and then cuts back to it numerous times as the characters start to unravel the mystery piece by piece. I don’t think I’ve said this before with any of the other series from these authors I’ve read, but this had a very Sherlock Holmes vibe. And not just its relation to the Baker Street Robbery (which I ended up looking up on Wiki after finishing the book), but just the overall vibe of trying to fit pieces together from the past. Trying to rule people out depending on motives and other pieces of evidence.
Timeless had an emotional aspect to it that I can’t say is missing from the other books, but this one had a real tear-jerker version. The kindness that Eddie was shown and the amount of help and his reactions to it were… Priceless (probably another title of a book in this series soon). Timeless was a blast from beginning to end. This time, less jumping around distance-wise and more time-jumping, but overall still a great book combining the likes of four different characters into a cohesive piece that felt like it was meant to be that way from the beginning. It’s crazy that these authors can put in that many “main” characters and not have them feel like they’re stepping on each other’s toes.

Great Action Packed Adventure Collaboration
If you are a person who enjoys action packed tropical adventures with plenty of mystery and suspense, you may find that listening to Timeless is the right audiobook to fill that need. Timeless is the newly released second book in the Tropical Authors series which is overflowing with wonderful characters and just as many beautiful Caribbean locations. If you have listened to any of the previous well-known Tropical Authors such as: Wayne Stinnett, John H. Cunningham, Nick Sullivan, or Nicholas Harvey, you have a good idea of what you will find in this newer, and well received series. I have been a big fan of Nick Sullivan’s “The Deep” and “Zombie Bigfoot” series and it was good to find similarities from other authors out there. Even more, it is another series of audiobooks which is skillfully narrated by Mr. Sullivan as well. I find all of his work professional and engrossing. If you have listened to other audiobooks by these authors, you will enjoy the collaboration and cross character play from the individual authors. I would highly recommend you pick up this audiobook along with the first in the newer Tropical Authors series.
As a private pilot, I found the opening sequence fascinating and rather nerve racking. A night landing on water is a pilots worst nightmare next to a fire in the cockpit. The descriptive scenes and vivid imagery that ran consistently throughout the audiobook really caught my attention and brought me into the story. If I had to describe the audiobook, I would say that it was more like an “Indiana Jones” movie taking place in the Caribbean instead of Egypt. It is simply loaded with action and adventure from start to finish. In this story, the listener is given a view of the lush Cayman islands and we are again watching over Emily and Boone while they, and a few newer characters to me, are thrown into a mystery that spans a swath of history. I found the audiobook’s flashbacks to be a new addition from previous works I’m familiar with, and I rather liked it. I had no former knowledge of the other main characters in the book (mostly from the other Tropical Authors series I have not listened to) fun and likable. As with the earlier “The Deep” series, the listener is also brought into the world of undersea diving. Not as much in this audiobook, but it was still a learning experience for me to hear about people who free dive.
The audiobook contained a few pokes at pop culture along with some funny parts to help relieve the tension. I also thought that the characters felt more vulnerable than ones from other series. The character complexity ranged from the down to earth locals, women in stilettos and tight dresses, to high-up killers and even some royals. The story does a good job of weaving in details and slowly releases hints along the way. One’s search for the event that took place in the past, reveals something that was thought to be hidden forever. For me, the tale felt cohesive and well portrayed even when written by a number of authors. If you did not know it, you would have suspected that a single author penned the story. I have to give kudos to the authors for achieving this one.
Speaking of the audiobook’s narration, I can not say enough for Mr. Sullivan’s ability and skill when it comes to his audiobook narrations. The audio is often easy to listen to with consistent volume levels. I did want to note that I believe there were at least two places where I think the audio was briefly patched, but this was almost unnoticeable. Apart from this, it was top notch and I am still amazed at his ability to pull off narrating female characters well along with the many accents and dialects these series of stories require. So, another great job by Mr. Sullivan on this one.
For parents and younger audiences, some profanity was sprinkled in the story, mostly by one specific character. Also, be aware that some elements of sexual content or discussions involving adult toys were also included. Lastly, the story contains some graphic violence which may not be appropriate for all audiences. I would recommend the audiobook for more mature listeners only.
In summary, this audiobook contains quite an adventure in its nearly nine hours. As with other works I have reviewed by these authors, I always find the afterwards chapter fascinating. If you normally skip them, make sure to give it a listen. The level of research and people involved in making an audiobook like this one amazes me. The story is solid, the action flows, and all of the characters (apart from the bad guy) were likable. All I can say is that I look forward to future works by these authors and the narrator.
