Publisher's summary

Tic: My son means the world to me. He's all I have. His mom left us when he was born. I raised him. He's mine. The club is my home. It's his, too. After losing too many babysitters, Brooke's friend Ashley stepped in to watch Jameson. She was a good girl, one I knew I couldn't have. Until I had her. Now I want to keep her. Sometimes, what we want the most isn't what's in front of our eyes. Things change. Accidents happen and our lives are torn in half.

Ashley: I had money but I loved to work. When I quit my job and went to the clubhouse, I didn't expect my next job to be a tiny shaggy-haired boy. Jameson quickly grew on me. So did his dad, Tic. We became close, even though we knew it wouldn't work between us. When his ex, Jameson's mom, shows up, all hell breaks loose. No one knows where they stand anymore.

Contains mature themes.

What the heck…

Don’t fall in love with the characters, you will be disappointed. This is the first romance book where the main character dies and the author apparently thought it a good idea to have the male lead end up with someone else. Very disappointing.

Tic and Ashley 💔

I can not believe that you killed Ashley off, that just broke my heart! Listening to how Kinderly talked to J about Ashley was sweet, but I still couldn’t get on board with her and Tic. He belonged with Ashley. I love this author, she knows how to keep you listening. On to the next. Prospect

Disappointed

I was so on board with this installment of the series but once Ashley was killed and then Kinderly came into the picture and then ending up with Tic. Yeah, that didn't sit well with me since Ashley literally risked her life for that boy and Tic was claiming his love for her and then it ended like that? I stopped listening.

The rest of the series so far was great though.

Afterthought

This third book seemed shallow and rushed compared to the other ones I have read in this series. I cried for Blue instead of Ash. I was looking forward to Blue and Kinderly.

Tic and Ashley

A dark, twisted, raw and gritty ride to go on with Tic and Ashley. Honestly, I felt all this warm and fuzzies at the beginning and then wow, just wow; total devastation. My heart just broke but it was slow pieced together again. This was a fantastic story, I enjoyed every single heart-wrenching moment.

The Ending Added A Nice Touch

Tic & Ashley. The story was short and disappointing because of the twist at the end and not ending the way I wanted. The FMC was sweet, selfless, loved whole heartily, learned to live and should have had a HEA. The MMC found his heart again with a long time secondary character. There was tears, drama and humor. **It was a nice touch hearing from Ashley & his father.

Spoilers ahead

I’m disappointed that Ashley was killed and he ended up with Kinderleigh
I couldn’t listen any further after that point
I had to skip chapters to the ending
I know that real life isn’t always a happy ending but the build up of Tic’s and Ashley’s relationship and a bitter ending to it was disappointing
